involved member of the piercing/tattooing/etc (body modification) community:
what the hell are you thinking? you clearly don't know what this tattoo
looks like, otherwise you wouldn't need someone to send you a goddamn
picture of it, yet for some reason it's meaningful enough for you to PUT ON
YOUR BODY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. you're simply copying a design that
doesn't mean shit-all to you. and also, as i just said, you're COPYING
someone's tattoo! you know, there's a certain level of etiquette with
regards to tattooing, and it's generally accepted that if you see someone's
tattoo, you don't run out and copy it. it shows a total lack of thought,
creativity, or fucking anything. think of something on your own, something
that you won't regret a few years from now, and then go at it.
i'd go into this further, but you're french and that's punishment enough :P

I'm pretty sure they mean to live life by your own standards and to be
the person you want to be (an individual), and not to just shoot for
being as different as possible.
Getting the same tattoo as someone else IS pretty lame, but it's not
the end of the world. It just makes the person copying the design
something of a goober, and I'm willing to bet it would kinda piss off
the person who originally designed it.
Instead of copying Maynards tat, I'd probably throw in some Tool and
draw up my own design. That way I have a unique, Tool-inspired tattoo
that I can feel better about showing off. (none of this "hey check it
out, I have the same tattoo as Maynard" shit.)

done is a rip-off of maynards tattoo. Which it isn't. I had a dream I
was running from toucan sam and the tornado man and when i was running

It sounds like you are not an artist and apparently, for this reason, you
are not allowed to get a tattoo.
Plus, nature created the scorpion and you would just be copying off of
nature's design.
Maynard already did that once and that is bad enough.
