I,m trying to find the name of Tom Waits song that has the following lyrics
"John John, he's long gone, gone to Louisiana and never comin'
home"
I heard it some years ago and would also like to know on which album it can
be found.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Howdy Howard-I also wanted to mention something about gun Street
Girl...

I REALLY like the "new" rearranged version from the 99 mule
tour, totally different feel than previous versions, I
absolutely love the huffing/puffing on it, it creates a strange
feel to the song...almost a dire feel to it..tough to put a
handle on, but definitely worth checking out in a live
version..drop a line if you need assistance with getting a high
quality recording of a show from the 99 tour with Gun Street
Girl on it, I am sure you would enjoy it, my machines are almost
always ready to run something for another Waits fan..so just ask.

I think it's GUN STREET GIRL

P.S. His version of that song in Paris was great...heavy breathing etc.

Weird thing about that, most of the concert versions where he does the
heavy-breathing-train-rythem thing he leaves that John-John part off.

I love that part! but ya hardly miss it....
