That's the second time. She covered Take Me Home from the 'One From the
Heart' soundtrack too. I'm waiting for one of his songs to appear on one of
her 'Ally McBeal Soundtrack things. Hopefully Tom is getting gobs of money.
But the cover she did was not that bad. I liked it better than what Holly
Cole did (though I don't really like either Vonda or Holly, and I didn't
hear the song you heard), and it's a hell of a lot better than Rod Stewart.
Though you might not be a fan of the show, it also is a bit of a recognition
of how good Tom's songs actually are. It may get him some new fans,
besides.

That's friggin hilarious...but in order to have heard that song...all of you
must have watched the show...I'll admit it, I'm no different...I'm not wierd
about it or anything...I like the show, but mainly for the obnoxious guy
characters and not for the touchy feely dancing scenes involving the gross
miscalculations of a Waits classic....it was a suprise though

In article <95He4.1594$8X5....@dfiatx1-snr1.gtei.net>,

It was cool and IMHO entirely appropriate to the scene. In tone,
anyway, if not in exact lyrics. And I like the obnoxious guy characters
and the sexy women characters and the flaky Ms McBeal as well. So
there!

(And yes, I'm a guy.)

I really enjoyed that commercial...at least they used the *original* version
rather than than having that *mouth with legs* thing croon it...(i.e. vonda
sheppard)

just my two cents worth
