Here's version 1.05 - 97 of my collection of live recordings and a whole
lot more! As always trades are preferred, but NOT necessary! See the blurb
at the end of the list for that. This list IS LONG! If not interested, stop
now and save yourself the bother of finding a long lost live gem that you
may be looking for....
Try to order in multiples of 90 minutes keeping shows together as listed
when possible. Don't be afraid to send e-mail inquiring about content or
quality of a certain show - I'll help as much as I can!!! Looking for early
70's Utopia and Oblivion and POV Utopia shows - home made tapes welcome.
Always, always, always write or e-mail before sending an order. It's not
fair to me or to you for trades/sales to happen if terms are not decided
up-front. I don't want to be taken advantage of and I don't want you to
feel ripped-off if things aren't clear!!
I do this for FUN and as a sidebar to my regular life. I get things done as
life allows. Delete any old versions of my list-only version 1.05 - 97 is
valid! Foreign orders/trades welcome...
If you can avoid it, don't send regular snail mail about requests, etc. I'm
much better replying via e-mail if you have questions or requests, etc.
I need an address for: Barry Flag of Worcester, MA. Send e-mail if you can
help.
Enjoy...

NEW STUFF (Audio)[Image]
1975 Todd - Initiation Interviews. First is from Radio Holland 95.2
FM. The second is from Rock Speak state side. Both are good interviews
about Initiation and the Todd solo albums up to that date. Interviews
from this period are pretty cool. Todd still seems to answer questions
in a pretty direct manner. Cool interviews. Very Good Quality. (45
minutes)
10/31 and 11/1/78 Todd R. - El Macambo-Toronto, Canada. CHUM FM
broadcast. Todd played 3 nights and 6 shows at the El Macambo (is it
redundant to say "the El Macambo"?). This broadcast featured the best
performances from two of the nights. Mixed by Chris Anderson. BTTB
show. Real Man, Trapped, Abandon City, CWSBF, Siamese Party Favor
intro to Black Maria, Hello..., more. My copy made directly from
taper's original. Excellent quality. (90 minutes)
4/12/80 Utopia - O'Keefe Center-Toronto, Canada. CHUM FM broadcast.
Show starts at Last Ride (which means the first 7 songs or so are not
included). Sands of Arakis, Love Alone, Todd Medley with piano, Bag
Lady, 7 Rays, more. My tape made from original FM recording. Excellent
quality. (90 minutes)
11/11/80 Todd and Roger - Robert Klein Radio Show. About a half hour
with Todd and Roger. Talk about: Utopia/Deface the
Music/video/QUBE/synths/productions. Also includes Stephen Bishop and
Blue Angel (Cyndi Lauper's first band). My copy made from origninal
vinyl to VHS. Excellent quality. (60 minutes)
4/4/82 Todd - The Agora-Columbus, OH. Audience tape of a great show.
My tape is edited in spots, but it's the whole show. This solo tour is
a favorite of mine. Song of the Viking, Tiny D, Bag Lady, Drunken Blue
Rooster (very good version), When I Pray, Dream Goes On Forever. Very
Good Quality. (90 minutes)
5/11/85 Utopia - Capitol Theater-Passaic, NJ. POV show from the
audience. Play this Game, Style, Zen Machine, Mystified, Caravan, More
Light, more. Cool show for POV tour, decent performance. Very Good
Quality. (90 minutes)
8/14/89 Todd R. - Toronto, Canada. Todd and the Big Band rip through
the NH set. This tape is a board tape made by the sound man at the
show. Fidelity and performance are incredible! Send a 100 minute tape
for this one so you don't miss anything. Show is edited (tape is
missing Inspiration, Cliche, Rock Love, and Want of a Nail). Real Man,
Unloved Children, Parallel Lines, Can't Stop Running, Compassion,
Secret Society, Something to Fall Back On, Tiny Demons, CWSBF, Mated,
Love in Aciton, Marvin Medley, Feel It, Hawking, Hello It's Me, Love
My Life. My copy is second from the master. Excellent/Perfect Quality.
(100 minutes)
1/5/90 Todd R. - Fukuoka Denki Hall-Tokyo, Japan. Audience tape.
Typical NH set, whole show. Very Good Quality. (120 minutes)
1/6/90 Todd R. - Festival Hall-Osaka, Japan. Audience tape. Typical NH
set, whole show. Very Good Quality. (120 minutes)
7/12/90 Todd R. - 2nd Wind Recording Session Palace of Fine Arts-San
Francisco, CA. Board tape from the 5th Second Wind session. Fidelity
and content are awesome. Whole 2nd Wind album including live Jesse
(much better sound quality than the Warner Bros. promo casette) and
chatter between songs. Session lasts about 2:25 and the remainder is
the sound check. Send two 100 minute tapes for this one so you don't
miss anything! My copy is second generation from the master. Perfect
quality. (200 minutes)
4/91 Todd R. - New York City. Board tape of a great 2nd Wind Show.
Love Science, Real Man, Love of the Common Man, Who's Sorry Now,
Johnny Jingo, Mighty Love, Parallel Lines, Can't Stop Running, Unloved
Children, Smell of Money, Change Myself, Kindness, Secret Society,
Something to Fall Back On, Rock Love, Marvin Medley, Feel It, 2nd
Wind, Public Servant, Hello It's Me, Jesse. Yes, it's from the board
and it sounds awesome! Very good performance. Excellent Quality. (135
minutes)
5/10/92 Utopia - Gotanda Kani Hoken Hall-Tokyo, Japan. Audience
recording from the Redux tour. Fix your Gaze, Zen Machine, Abandon
City, Swing, Itch in My Brain, Ikon '92, Play this Game, Hiroshima,
Only Human, more. Good performance. Better performance than the
stateside show. Very Good Quality. (100 minutes)
11/17/96 Todd R. - The Fillmore-San Francisco, CA. Live from DAT in
the audience. Early show from this tour. Todd flubs here and there but
his singing voice is in good shape. Good, clear recording. Levels are
a bit low, but fidelity is good. For the most part, these CA shows all
feature good fidelity and levels on the acoustic stuff and lower
levels on the louder material. I Don't Want to Tie You Down, Song of
the Viking, Espresso, Tiny D, Fidelity, Bag Lady, Too Far Gone,
Hawking (cut). My copy made from taper's DAT. Very Good/Great Quality.
(135 minutes)
11/24/96 Todd R. - The Galaxy-Santa Ana, CA. Live from DAT in the
audience. Same deal as above as far as recording, etc. Lysistrata,
Fidelity, Song of the Viking, Mystified/Broke Down Busted, The I, I
Want You, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, Black and White, Honest
Work, more. My copy made from taper's DAT. Very Good/Great Quality.
(135 minutes)
11/26/96 Todd R. - 4th & B-San Diego, CA. Live from DAT in the
audience. Same as above two shows for recording spiel. Tables Will
Turn, It Wouldn't..., Espresso, CWSBF, #1 LCD (w/electric guitar -
awesome), Hammer, Tiny D, Hawking. This is an especially good
performance. My copy made from taper's DAT. Great Quality. (135
minutes)
11/27/96 Todd R. - Konocti Harbor-Kelseyville, CA. Live from DAT in
the audience. Same spiel as above for recording. Love of the
Common..., Hide Your Love Away, Free Male and 21, Cliche, Secret
Society, more. My copy made from taper's DAT. Very Good/Great Quality.
(135 minutes)
12/4/96 Todd R. - House of Blues-Nola-LiveConcerts.com Net Simulcast.
Boy, this technology sucks. The version I have sounds like crap. I'm
working on getting a stereo copy made from an ISDN conncetion though.
Sounds a little better than AM radio with some drop-outs in the
transmission. Cool set though: You've Got to Hide..., I Don't Want to
Tie You Down, Free Male 21, I Want You, Espresso, WWE, Hawking, Wheel,
Dream Goes On.... Fair/good quality. (135 minutes)
12/27/96 Todd R. - The Electric Factory - Philadelphia, PA. Audience
show recording of a good show. Todd's pretty talkative during the
night. These solo shows are cool because the set AND the banter
between tunes changes from night to night. I Want You, "I" tunes,
Black and White, I Don't Want to Tie You Down, Real Man (first time
ever played in public on the piano!). My copy made from taper's
master. Very Good quality. (90 minutes)
12/28/96 Todd R. - The Chameleon - Lancaster, PA. Starts the show with
One World (says "Thank you, goodnight..." when he finishes), Fidelity,
Song of the Viking, Sometimes I Don't Know What to Feel (spur of the
moment-struggles to remember piano changes), Dream Goes On Forever, I
Want You. Good show. Very Good quality. (135 minutes)
1/2/97 Todd R. - The Odeon-Cleveland, OH. This is a fine show. Very
good, intense performance. I'd hate to say it, but this show was my
favorite from this tour that I've heard (I wish the 1/3 show was this
good). Awesome #1LCD on electric guitar (he frickin' rocks), Tiny
Demons, Hide Your Love Away, Real Man on piano (very cool, rare), Too
Far Gone. Nice, nice show. My copy made from taper's original. Good
quality. (135 minutes)
1/3/97 Todd R. - The Odeon-Cleveland, OH-WNCX 98.5 FM. I recorded this
one myself from FM! Your copy will be made from my original which I
recorded from my Adcom GTP-450 tuner to my Denon DRW-660 deck via a
Signet (pretty good $80) interconnect to Maxell XL-IIS cassettes.
Excellent performance. There's some slight overload on Todd's mic for
most of the show, but it's way better than an audience recording!
Here's the set: short Todd interview, Computer Love (opening
music-most of song), Black and White, Hammer in My Heart (starts
acoustic, breaks a string, finishes with the electric), I Want You,
Cliche, Lysistrata, CD-e Demo, The I, Family Values, CWSBF (starts
because the crowd is egging him on, then stops when he can't remember
the changes), It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference, Too Far Gone,
Compassion, Free Male and 21, There Goes My Inspiration, Story about
Todd' new dog, Tables Will Turn (breaks between tape one and two about
3/4 of the way through the song), Woman's World, break, CWSBF (plays
the whole thing this time), Dream Goes On Forever, WWE, break, and The
Wheel. Fun show, loose. Todd plays acoustic, electric, piano, and his
PC. Talks about the Browns, his dog, and mentions my hometown - Parma
("Moon Over Parma" from Drew Carey Show fame). Also available: I have
a DAT for LOAN made direct from my original cassettes, also have a
version made direct to HiFi VHS from FM (levels came out a bit low)
and a back-up copy from my cassettes made direct to HiFi VHS.
Excellent quality. (135 minutes)
* 1987 Mood Six-A version of I Saw the Light sounding like 80's synth
rock and an all instrumental string (Muzak) version of the same.
Excellent quality.
* Carry Me Through-Todd on lead guitar and backing vocals with Grand
Funk.
* Hello People Albums-Fusion ('68), eponymous ('67), Have You Seen the
Light ('70), Handsome Devils ('74 TR produced and engineered with the
TR Utopia's band backing - cover of JOV).
----------------------------------------------------------------------

AUDIO
Nazz/Early Hello People Period
1970 Nazz - Retrospective Foresight. Bootleg LP. Songs: He Was, Some
People, Ready I Am, Kicks (Yardbirds song), But I Ain't Got You, Take the
Hand, Lemming Song, You Are My Window, Open My Eyes (live), Christopher
Columbus, Train Kept a Rollin'. Good to Excellent quality. (45 minutes)
1972 Todd Rundgren Radio Show-Audio resume of Todd's career to date.
Produced and narrated by Todd. Excellent quality. (60 minutes)
1972 Todd R. - Philadelphia, PA-WMMR's first in-studio production. Believe
In Me, It Wouldn't..., Broke Down and Busted, The Ballad (Denny and Jean).
Todd and piano, high pitched voice finely tuned, in rare form. Great
quality. (20 minutes)
5/2/72 Todd R.-Ultrasonic Studios Hempstead, NY-With Hello People. Lots of
Hello People tunes (Outside Love, Heat and Blaze, Lady on a Terrace) plus
S/A tunes (I Saw the Light, It Wouldn't..., Slut). A self edited Piss
Aaron, more. Really entertaining stuff. Includes '72 S/A? interview from
WMEX AM in Boston. Bootleg is titled "Live at Ultrasonic 1974". My copy
made from bootleg CD. Excellent quality. (90 minutes)
5/18/72 Todd R. and the Hello People-Live in Boston. From the crowd in what
sounds like stereo. The quality is fair, but the songs are really cool. The
songs I have: Broke Down and Busted/Piss Aaron/It Wouldn't Have Made.../I
Saw the Light/Hello It's Me/The Place (Instrumental)/Lady on the Terrace
(Tom Cosgrove vocal)/Georgia Swing/Slut. Lots of chatter from Todd. Fair
quality. (30 minutes)
Todd R's Utopia/AWATS/Todd Period
11/8/73 Todd R's Utopia-Fox Theater Atlanta, GA-Retrorock. Broadcast in the
early '80's. Portions of this classic show. The show's tag was "putting the
past into perspective" so it includes tunes plus what Todd was up to at the
time ($2 million video studio, Deface the Music, etc.). Made from
transcript LP. Tunes include Everybody's Going to Heaven/King Kong Reggae,
Sons of 1984, Open My Eyes, Black Maria, Don't You Ever Learn (with a
slight click from the vinyl), etc. Excellent show. My copy made from
transcript LP. Excellent quality. (45 minutes)
11/11/73 Todd R's Utopia-Counterpart Studios Cincinnati, OH-WKRQ FM.
Classic show from bootleg LP. I Saw the Light, Dream Goes On, Piss Aaron
(edited by those fine open minded folks in Cincy-think Maplethorpe/Larry
Flynt), Lord Chancellor's, Hello It's Me, Utopia Theme, Black Maria, Hungry
for Love. Really cool show. My copy made from transcript LP. Excellent
quality. (45 minutes)
11/14/73 Todd R.-Massey Hall - Toronto, Canada. You can hear 'em frying the
Canadian bacon and chuggin' the beer in the background of this audience
tape... Todd's first Canadian show. This show features Todd for the first
45 minutes on piano, guitar, and lead vocals with a tape playing behind
him. The second half of the show he comes out with the Hello People back-up
unit so I don't think you can really call them Todd R's Utopia. First half
includes; Long Flowing Robe, International Feel, Never, Never Land, I Saw
the Light, Lord Chancellor's Nightmare, Piss Aaron, Heavy Metal Kids.
Second half includes; Utopia Theme, Ikon, Black Maria, #1 LCD, Is It My
Name, more. Very good quality. (90 minutes)
1974 Todd - Bearsville White Label Promo EP. Side one is an interview with
Todd. He discusses his fans, eating habits on the road, so on. Side two is
The Ikon banded into seven parts for radio play. My copy made direct from
vinyl to HiFi VHS. Excellent quality. (45 minutes)
1974 Todd R.'s Utopia-The Agora Columbus, Ohio-WNCI FM 98. Sounds like mono
to me, although it may be stereo with poor separation. Utopia Theme, Don't
You Ever Learn, Ikon Pt. 1, 2, and 3, When the Shit Hits..., #1LCD, Is It
My Name, Hungry for Love. Good quality. (75 minutes)
3/24/74 Todd R's Utopia-Akron, OH. Sounds like the original is fairly high
quality audience. First half of show is Todd with his tape: International
Feel, Never, Never Land, Zen Archer, It Wouldn't, I Saw the Light, Dream
Goes On, Lord Chancellor's, Hello It's Me, Piss Aaron, Heavy Metal Kids,
and International Feel. He cracks during I Saw the Light that he's singing
the hits from K-Tel's Songs of the 70's. Second half of the show is Todd
R's Utopia: Utopia Theme, Black Maria, Everybody's Going to Heaven/King
Kong Reggae, full version of Ikon, Sons of 1984, more. Very Good Quality.
(135 minutes)
6/22/74 Todd R.-Solo from Central Park. From the crowd with Hall and Oates.
Solo from the piano Hello, Sometimes I Don't Know, Dust in the Wind, Ooh
Baby Medley, more. Fair quality. (30 minutes)
9/74 Todd R.'s Utopia-Soundboard Recording-St. Louis, MO. Yes, it is from
the soundboard. There's some crowd mic, but only at certain times (usually
between songs). Born to Synthesize (Todd only WITHOUT any reverb, phase
shift, etc.-awesome), Side Walk Cafe, Treatise on Cosmic Fire, Ikon Pt. 1,
2, and 3, We Gotta Get You a Woman, Sons of 1984, Slut, Do Ya, JOV. My copy
is a real low generation. An absolute all-time favorite. Perfect quality,
it'll knock your socks off. (75 minutes)
10/16/74 Todd Rundgren's Utopia-Music Hall Cleveland, Ohio. Without
question one of the best audience recordings I have ever heard. Clean,
clear mono with very little boominess to it. A little uneven in spots due
to microphone movement. The show however is nothing short of outstanding.
Song list includes Utopia Theme, Don't You Ever Learn, Another Life,
Freedom Fighters, The Wheel, Sunset Blvd., The Last Ride, Freak Parade,
Night in New Orleans and much more. Great Quality. My copies were made
direct from the original tapes. Any other tapes out there are sourced from
my COPIES! (135 minutes)
Initiation/Another Live Period
1975 Utopia - Disco Jets. Unreleased Utopia album. This is some weird,
wild, wacky stuff! This was recorded and never released. All instrumental
aside from those stupid disco spoken word choruses (remember "Do the
Hustle"?). Check out the song titles: Disco Jets, Cosmic Convoy (song
includes "cosmic" CB chatter, this is priceless), Time Warp, V.H.F., Star
Trek (yes, it's a disco version of the Star Trek theme complete with disco
high hat cymbals), Pet Rock (sounds like Fahrenheit 451), Space War, Rising
Sign, Black Hole, and Spirit of '76 (Todd' s tribute to the
Bicentennial-Patriotic songs and a disco beat). This is really weird stuff.
It's not even really god disco. Great quality. (45 minutes)
9/10/75 Todd R.'s Utopia-London, England Hammersmith Odeon-Same as "Nimbus
Thitherwald" or "Open My Eyes" bootlegs (which I also have which has a
couple extra tunes). BBC re- broadcast of this classic show. Features the
stripped down Utopia without Kas. Freedom Fighters, Open My Eyes, more.
Excellent quality. (60 minutes)
10/75 Todd R.-Radio Clyde Scotland-Andy Park interview with Todd. Presented
on-air with Andy reflecting on the interview, playing exerpts, reflecting,
and so on. Interviewer is intelligent and interested in Todd. Todd
discusses his sense of humor, integrity or lack thereof in the music
business, effect of drugs on his personality and music, difference between
solo and Utopia lyrics, how he stole a part of Breathless, use of the major
7th chords, Laura Nyro, Bob Dylan, more. Great quality, some radio static.
(45 minutes)
10/12/75 Todd Rundgren's Utopia - Den Haag-Amsterdam, Holland. This one was
recorded from the audience on a Uher recorder. Good, clean mono. Line-up
includes TR, RP, WW, John Siegler, and Luther Vandross-same line-up as
9/10/75 London/Nimbus show. Similar period as Another Live-Fair Warning,
Medley- Dream Goes On Forever/Hello Its Me/I Saw the Light, Last Ride, Drum
Solo, Something's Coming, Open My Eyes, Sons of 1984, Born to Synthesize,
Do Ya, Bass Ball (John Siegler bass tune), JOV. My copy was made from the
master. Good/Great quality. (135 minutes)
10/14/75 Utopia-FM - Paris, France. This tape's origin is French FM. Cool
set. Born to Synthesize, Death of Rock 'n Roll, Eastern/Initiation, I Saw
the Light, Mr. Triscuits, more. Backstage Pass interview from WMMS in '87.
Good quality. (45 minutes)
Faithful/RA Period
7/8/76 Utopia-Grand Valley Dome, Grand Rapids, MI-Very good audience tape.
AWATS tunes plus Roger solo tunes. International Feel, Landmark, The Ikon.
Very good quality. (90 minutes)
12/5/76 Utopia-Osaka, Japan-Ra era show. Includes Be My Lover (really Crazy
Lady Blue with Shady Lady Blue as the lyric), Emergency Splashdown,
International Feel, Wheel, Singring, Heaven and Hell. The first 45 minutes
are good quality and the rest is pretty poor. (135 minutes)
'77 Ra Show-Don't know the date, really cool. Todd (sax) and Roger
(trumpet) trade solos on Eternal Love. Really cool, different. Very good
quality. (45 minutes)
1977 "From Here to Utopia"-Ra show. Communion With the Sun, Sunburst
Finish, Emergency Splashdown, more great Ra stuff. Bootleg. Great quality.
(45 minutes)
1/8/77 Utopia-WDR Studio L/Rockpalast TV Show Koln, Germany. I've also seen
this listed as "Dancing Spheres" video which I have as well. Audio of this
great performance. Best quality performance/audio I have from this period -
by far. Communion..., Sunburst Finish, Windows, Sunset Blvd..., Emergency
Splashdown, Singring, Utopia Theme, more. Excellent quality. (90 minutes)
1/30/77 Utopia-Glasgow, Scotland. Audience tape of Ra show. International
Feel, Sunburst Finish, Windows, Wheel, Freedom Fighters, Heaven and Hell,
Hiroshima, Singring. Fair quality. (120 minutes)
5/1/77 Utopia-KBFH from Philadelphia-Ra show. Jealousy, Overture:
Communion.... Very cool. Good quality. (20 minutes)
6/21/77 Utopia-Toronto, Canada. Audience recording. Ikon, Jealousy, 7 Rays,
Heavy Metal Kids. Fair quality. (120 minutes)
1977 Summer-Utopia-Oxford Polytechnic - London, England. Made from the
bootleg CD "Utopia is Here to Come". Excellent audio quality and
performance. Audio is so good you can hear the edits. Communion with the
Sun, Love of the Common Man, Sunburst Finish, Jealousy, Windows, Emergency
Splashdown, Verb to Love, and Hiroshima. Kasim is introduced as the new
member of the band. My copy was made from the bootleg CD. Perfect quality.
(60 minutes)
Summer 1977 Utopia-Oxford Polytechnic. A complete version of Singring and
Utopia Theme. It's the second half of the above show, but it's from a
different source. Includes a bunch of promos for an Adventures show
sponsored by WLIR at the Nassau Coliseum and the Utopia TV show ads.
Good/Great Quality. (45 minutes)
Oops! Period
Fall 1977-Utopia-Live Across the Midwest. FM broadcast of the Utopia
portion of the Todd Rundgren Radio Sampler. I also have this from
transcript listed on here under MISCELLANEOUS/INTERVIEW. Great quality. (45
minutes)
10/20/77 Utopia-Chicago Auditorium-WXRT FM Chicago, IL. Incredible Oops era
show with Todd capably playing the role of Guitar Hero. This from FM
broadcast includes Oops tunes (Trapped with intro, My Angel (with Todd Sax
solo), BTTB type tunes (excellent Black and White, Love of the Common Man,
Couldn't I Just Tell You), AWATS stuff (When the Shit Hits the Fan,
International Feel), T.R.'s Utopia material (7 Rays, Heavy Metal Kids,
Utopia Theme), as well as Ra material(Mountaintop...., My Angel, and a
whole tripping version of Singring and the Glass Guitar!). The whole first

TAPING INFO
I prefer quality of audio/video to collectibility. As such, most of my
tapes feature quality recordings as opposed to rare ones. I'm not able
to make video dubs with stereo sound, although all VCR stuff is of
good/fair quality.
My goal over the years has been to find the highest quality recordings
I can get. While I may not have the largest Todd tape collection, I've
tried to find the best quality stuff from original recordings,
transcripts, taper's audience originals, etc. Most of what I find is
the one-tape-that-a-guy-made-himself-from-way-
back-and-just-kind-of-held-onto. Scott Sheppard was kind enough at one
point to donate his original master recordings from FM of a lot of
stuff from the late '70's and early to mid '80's which was a great
addition. Also of note was Mike Adrian's audience tapes from the early
to mid '80's (the tcd3/Shure mic shows - regardless of the quality
grade they are all very good recordings). Also, a note of thanks to
Ken Owen for committing most of my super high quality tapes to
DAT/CD-R for preservation. Not to mention the hundred's of other's
who've offered whatever they had for us all to enjoy! Thank you all!
So if you've got that one tape, let me know!
I will either make equal cassette trades (you record something on an
XLII 90 for me, and I'll do the same for you); or you can send me a
cassette, return postage, and $3 each tape and I'll make a cassette
for you (I prefer to do this); or you can buy tapes outright.
I use book rate postage for sending tapes which I pay for postage. It
takes a little longer, but it's about half the cost for book rate.
Just make sure to mark the package as "MAGNETIC MEDIA - DO NOT SCAN".
Sometimes the post office will scan the packages causing tapes to be
erased! So be sure to mark the package and use book rate to save $, if
you'd like.
I DO send cases and computer printed J-cards with set lists, etc.
Please do the same in return if possible. The exception is for
international orders! - I will send J-cards but NO cases (it just
costs way too much for shipping.)
Please make selections in multiples of 90 minutes. It makes life much
easier for me! Most selections are grouped together to form 90 minute
shows, so it shouldn't be too hard. If you see a shorter selection you
like, see if you like the show it's with!
I use a first-in, first-out method to recording. Regardless of what it
is (trade, sale, or whatever), I do things in the order I get them. If
you send me a trade next day air hoping to get it back right away, let
me know so we can make arrangements. Chances are there may be some
other things ahead of what you may send.
I SELL tapes at a rate of:
o $7.50 per 90 minute tape (Maxell XLII, includes postage).
o $10.00 USD per 90 minute tape for international orders (outside
the 50 States-Maxell XLII, includes postage).
o $3.00 per 90 minute tape if you send me a BLANK TAPE AND RETURN
POSTAGE (minimum of 2 maximum of 5 at a time). You send me blank
tape with return postage in STAMPS PLUS $3 EACH TAPE I'll record
whatever you want. I PREFER TO DO THIS RATHER THAN YOU JUST
SENDING $. It's easier and faster for the both of us!!! I'll
recycle the packaging and send the tapes back with stamps you
enclosed!!! If you send a SASE with first class postage, it will
come back first class (returned second class for second class -
etc...) This is THE preferred method for faster turn-around on
making the tapes if you want to buy!!!
o Under-trades are cool too! If you have one thing to trade and
want 5 others that's O.K.. Just send your trade tapes, plus
blanks, $, and stamps for the balance. Send e-mail and we can
work out the details. That's fine by me...
o ALSO! Don't forget that HiFi VHS is an efficient, high quality
way of getting a bunch of shows. 6 hours of CD quality audio at
EP speed (that's about four 90 minute cassettes). Trades/sales
will be handled case by case - but it's a damn good method!
o 2:1 Trades are fine too. You send 2 blank XLII 90's for each 90
minutes you want along with a SASE (or enough STAMPS to cover
return postage!). I keep one and send the other back to you (min
2, max. 10 at a time). Think about this option!!!
o There are no limits to the number of tapes I will do over time!
We can work out whatever you want to do! 10, 20, 30 - we can make
an agreement to get you whatever you want...
o I offer these services to anyone who is just starting out or
doesn't have much in the way of a trade. Also, sometimes people
don't have the time or resources to get into trading outright and
this allows them to get what they want. If you are completely
broke and really want to get something - let me know. I'm sure we
can work something out.
VIDEO
o U.S. orders for video are $9 each two hours of video (not per
tape!). I supply the tape and Priority postage back to you.
o Or you send me $5 (per two hours) and a blank video tape and I'll
tape it and send it back to you (minimum 2 hours, maximum 8 hours
at a time). There are no limits as to the total number of tapes I
will do over time!.
o Trades video for video are O.K. too. I'll also trade two 90
minute audio for one video or even trades video for video.

ORDERING INFO, COMMENTARY, ETC.
DO NOT SEND CASH!! Personal checks are O.K. for U.S. orders, bank
drafts, money orders, or Western Union are preferred for
international orders (U.S. Dollars Only!) A minimum of 3 to 4
weeks are usually needed to complete a typical order. If you are
getting anxious, send e-mail to me at an...@cleveland.freenet.e

I do not profit financially from my hobby. I'm a collector trying
to spread a little of what I have and maybe get something in
return. All I ask for in return is some e-mail letting me know
what you think of your tapes.
Any "profit" (some have said $3 plus blanks and postage is too
much to ask) is plowed back into buying blanks/paying postage, to
turn other trades, to increase what I can offer, to catch the
bird that swallowed the fly. I offer no apologies for this. If
you don't like it, don't trade with me...I'll understand.
Please include a written list of what you want and your mailing
as well as e-mail address along with any orders or trades!!!

ALSO NOTE: ALL TERMS ARE NEGOTIABLE!! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WANT
TO DO (TRADES, BUYS, NEWBIE TERMS, ANYTHING!) AND WE CAN WORK IT
OUT TODAY!!
I really prefer to trade!!! If you have any sort of Todd/Utopia
recording (or CD, LP, cassette, marble, twine, belly-button lint)
- let me know. Your quality/content may be better than what I
have (this does NOT include belly-button lint). I'd love to hear
from you. It seems like I make a lot of tapes these days but
don't get a whole lot of new stuff in return... Also, people who
I've sent tapes to/traded with - trade with others! Who knows
what all we can find together.
I am looking for any great quality early 70's Todd and Utopia and
Oblivion and POV era Utopia. Also looking to trade for a second
dubbing deck, a second HiFi VCR, and a pair of good headphones
(new or used). Let me know if you've got something out of use
that you'd consider parting with for some audio/video.
I DO NOT own any bootleg LP, CD's, etc. Anything I have in my
collection is a copy made from the original, or a close
facsimile. I figure if I'm going to trade "official bootlegs" I
may as well bootleg them... Also, I do not own original albums of
the rare stuff listed (Kas albums, Roger albums, rare tracks,
etc.). I'm really not much of a vinyl collector.
UPGRADE POLICY-I will re-record any tapes which I have made on
which I have upgraded my master tape sound quality. All you have
to do is send back the tape along with return postage - it's that
easy...
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED-If you don't like something I sent you
(quality, content, etc.), let me know. I'll work it out with you.
My number one concern is making sure you're satisfied with what
you get...
EQUIPMENT INFO-All of my tapes are recorded with Dolby HX [Image]
Pro which is an encode only (you don't have to have it on
your deck to benefit from it) headroom extension method. It
basically can make a normal position cassette sound like a chrome
one and so on. It's very good. All dubbing is done on a 1:1
basis-XLII's or equivalent for the audio and Maxell Silver or
equivalent for the video. Please use Maxell tape when possible.
The quality of Maxell is better than other tapes out there.
Besides that, I collect the bonus points and WILL steal them on
blanks sent my way. If you collect them too, take them before you
send blanks!!
My deck is a Yamaha KXW-492. My Denon DRW-660 died after 3 years
of faithful service (it ran for 7 days a week much of its life).
The Yamaha is a great deck, too. It's a dubbing deck so you get
what I have. If the original has Dolby - you get Dolby/if the
levels are low - they stay low. I try to indicate if the tape has
some sort of NR. Most don't, some do - experiment for the best
playback results. I do not equalize or process the sound
either...
I have a 4 head MONO Mitsubishi and a HiFi 4 head JVC for video
stuff. I use a simple Radio Shack zip cord patch direct from the
JVC to the Mitsubishi for video dubbing. I play on the JVC (audio
goes into a y-cord to make mono) and record on the Mits. No
enhances or stabilizers on the video signal. Any VHS audio
masters come right off of the JVC and goes through my Adcom
GTP-450 to the cassette deck. Once again I use a decently
shielded unbalanced zip cord from the JVC to the preamp then a
nice older Signet interconnect goes to the deck. If I'm using my
system to listen to something else at the time, I use a female to
female adapter to connect the VCR to the Yamaha.
I hope you can understand all I just said, if you can't, give me
a yell. I hope to expand my collection, and yours.
