First opening act: Spondee, who were their usual Spondee selves. Decent.
Not much of a crowd at this point.
Second opening act: The Ghost of Tony Gold. What a suprise. This
Cambridge, Mass.-based band was amazing. First band I've seen in quite a
while that excited me. No CD available yet, just a brief demo
tape...damn. Really, really good set. The crowd loved 'em.
Mono Puff: Very good, as expected. As the usual songs. Don't like the
guitarist.
Between the first and second opening acts, they played four songs off of
the demo for the next Giants album...including "NYC." All of the songs
were of the rockin' variety...even the Linnell one. Should be an
interesting album, although it sounds like it'll alienate certain fans
even more...
