Made-up bonus discs?

Ok so I'm looking for stuff on Soulseek--nothing I can *buy* of
course--like I want to rip John off--but stuff like free songs from
the official site, songs from podcasts, radio interviews I don't have
(JESUS CHRIST I'VE MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH WHY DID I EVER THINK I COULD
STAY AWAY FROM HIM WHY). Ahem, anyway. So there are people sharing
stuff they're calling "bonus discs" for the first 4 albums which seem
to consist of random live versions of songs on that album. This is a
made-up thing, right? Like, some random person said "oh I'll make a
folder of live songs from that album and call it a bonus disc," there
aren't real ones floating around somewhere that I don't know about,
are there? I'm looking around their site and Amazon and seeing nothing
but I wanted to double-check with y'all. All right then.

Ok thanks! And yep I know about that one, although I actually still
have yet to listen to it, or any of the podcasts for that matter...I'm
trying not to burn through all the new-for-me stuff all at once you
know? I'm still adjusting to being able to listen to The Else itself!

Not a bonus disc, but there was an EP "The Spine Surfs Alone" which is
an absolutely ESSENTIAL companion to The Spine.

Those "made up" discs you mentioned.... I'm not certain, but I have a
feeling that some overseas issues of the last couple of albums had
that live compilation 'Almanac' as a bonus disc.

Oh yes, the one with THAT MOTHERFUCKING SONG? Yeh. I know ALL about
that one...Anyway yes, it is a very very good EP, I'm with you on
that. I was just listening to "Now is Strange" on repeat like two
seconds ago, actually. They should do something like that with every
album, seriously, although oh man I JUST (as in the day before
yesterday) finally let myself listen to Cast Your Pod to the Wind
which I know was all old stuff to y'all by then but I still haven't
listened to any of the podcasts yet and OMFG AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING.
So I'm not gonna complain about that either.
