Has anyone been to a concert since Then: The Earlier Years came out?
Are they playing old songs in concert now or are they still promoting
Factory Showroom?

I just saw Them (completely by luck) at a CD store in Cambridge, Mass.
(Newbury Comics), and though I know this wasn't exactly a typical concert (I
couldn't go to the "real" show), they played a pretty good mix of their
Classic (Pink album/Lincoln), Popular (Apollo 18/Flood) and recent (John
Henry/Factory Showroom) stuff... it was really a great show considering the
lack of space they had ("Our horn section would be happy to sell you a
Primus hat after the show"--said because the horn section was standing up
behind the cash registers under a wall of hats and shirts).
Off of Factory Showroom, They played S-E-X-X-Y, New York City, and Spiraling
Shape... John Henry contributed Spy and No One Knows My Plan, Apollo 18 saw
The Guitar & She's Actual Size; they did Birdhouse and Particle Man from
Flood, Where Your Eyes Don't Go and Shoehorn With Teeth off of Lincoln, and
I *think* they did Hotel Detective, but I'm having brain cramps. They also
did a couple that I didn't know (B-sides? Others seemed to know them): One
great one about a broom that wasn't going to serve any more (Linnell showed
great distress as his broom, played by Flansburgh, refused to work anymore),
and a cute one that went "You're older than you've ever been and now you're
even older, and now you're even older" etc. I'm sure I'll be told where I
can find recordings of these :)
If anyone else out there is reading this and notices anywhere that I was
incorrect in my song list, or if I've left anything out, follow up... but my
point is, no, I don't think They're ignoring Factory Showroom, and I welcome
all the new music They're willing to produce... though the last real concert
I saw was just before FS came out... in August, and they naturally played
quite a bit of FS material at that show (though I didn't know it yet).

And the other one's Older. It's not available commercially yet I
don't think, I got it as a wav somewhere. I was so happy when they
played I am not your broom at the store...AND the concert. :) They
did it at Toad's place a bit ago but I thought that was a fluke. :)
