Hey guys,

I was waiting for someone else to post on this show, but since I haven't
seen anything yet, here goes nothing:

Lincoln opened and it was the first time I saw them, but I've heard enough
about them to know what they are like. I thought they were pretty good and
was torn at the end of the show as to whether to get a t-shirt or their cd
(i opted for the t-shirt). But I really did like their stuff.

They came on about a half hour later and I have to say that I really have
never seen them quite as animated as they were last night. Dare I say that
they even may have enjoyed themselves? Anyway, I don't have the setlist
down yet, but I will mention a few things that caught my eye:

Ng - started out slow, but then went really fast. I liked it alot
Dr. Worm - I really think that I like this song more every time I hear it,
and I already like it alot.
Spy - seemed like it ended unexpectadly for them, but then it broke out into
Your as Cold as Ice, then Lie Still, followed by To all the Girls I've Loved
Before with Linnell doing something wierd with his voice
Birdhouse - Call me a Floodie, but this is still my favorite song and there
is nothing like hearing it live

Flans mentioned the Linnell being on the People poll thing and also did the
"everybody Conga....I'm not kidding" before No One Knows My Plan.

The only regret I have about the show is that it was in a gym so the
accoustics were horrendous. I managed to get a copy of the show, but there
is alot of echoing going on. Do any of you guys know how I can maybe adjust
some of the levels to minimize this?

Sorry. There isn't anything you can do after the fact that will help much.
But for future reference, where you record the show can make all the
difference. Usually either being nearer to the acoustic source (the
speakers) or the primary reflecting surface (the back wall) will reduce
echoing. You can usually find a good spot just by listening while walking
around during the opening act. Unfortunately, the best place to record is
not always the best place to watch.
