Oh my word. Flansburgh has definately had a few bowls of pasta since I last
saw him. I think he needs to detox detox detox.

He looks bigger in those pics than he did the day after when I saw them
in person. Hmm.

In article <1122248002....@g44g2000cwa.googlegroups.com>,

Heh, maybe it was the lighting. Or the special fattening lens on
my camera.

Or maybe Mr. Flansburgh wants to make sure there is enough of himself
to go around. :)

It's funny that because when I looked at the photos, and before I saw these
comments, I thought, "Wow, Flans is really putting on weight!".

However, Linnell was looking really really cool I thought!

Cheers!

Yeah, I thought the same thing seeing him in Phil. However, he still
could rock and roll and put on his usual great show, bouncing and
jumping around onstage. Don't think he's to the Stephen Stills stage
yet (I'm dating myself, but I just shudder thinking back 20 years ago
seeing CSN and a fat balding Stephen Stills trying to boogie.)

They are both getting to be old guys, older by the minute. That's what
we're seeing. We get to watch it up close because they're photographed
every other day. It's like time-lapsed photography of a vase of roses,
swelling, blooming, darkening, drying, shrinking.

Mr. L is thin, but his skin is aging faster than Mr F's is - I can hear
the liquid gurgle of his fascia melting away right now, the skin
thinning and pulling away from the bone.

Wheee! We get to watch them gray, sag, get bellies, man-breasts,
gnarled hands, rough voices, sciatic backs, blown out knees, bald
pates, withered arms, shrinking shoulders, upper backs bent forward,
hands cupping to the ear, "Eh? Whatja say, there? C'mere, son, Uncle
Flans is a mite deef nowdays!"

Entropy rules even Giants.

Just added to the TMBG web site today... " Look for a fitter and more
regular TMBG in October."

So you think that is a result of this thread? :-)

Hal, oh no! Did we accidently put poor Mr. Flansburgh on a diet?
Shame on us. :-)

He's so cute with some pudge, that dear boy. Goodbye, extra jiggle!
We'll miss you so; we will miss you!

I think they're a bit ahead of you, Flansy has been working with the
first two and Linnell with the last two for awhile now...

It's good They have a plan on how to divide them up - that's one
affliction for you, and one for me, and one for you, and one for me and
...

.. you know, I need someone to share with. That's a grand plan. I'll
take the grays, you take the sciatica, I'll take ...

" Look for a fitter and more regular TMBG in October."

So, Flans is getting fit and Linnell is getting regular?

I sincerely hope that Dan Miller has not been reading this stuff and
relaying it to F&L.

-=-=-=-=-
*Waves* Hey, Dan - we love your solos and the fun commentary on the
download site!

Uh, can you tell Mr. Flansburgh and Mr. Linnell not to pay any
attention to the bizarre and morose imaginings of the fans. They look
great - handsome, quite handsome, the both of them.

Please casually work into a conversation that the fans said:

We were getting together to lobby the South Dakota delegation to get
Their likenesses on Mount Rushmore, but we got stalled because every
time the committee met and drew up the plans, They had gotten older -
visibly more self-assured, steady, masculine, more mature and complex,
more desirable - so we'd have to scrap the previous, more immature,
less interesting designs and start again.

*whispers to the rest of the ng* (did I overdo it? i'm not good at
apologia)

Thanks, Dan!
