I remember awhile back they said the new album would release in June or July
I think.... but it seems that alot of No! stuff is coming out now, or being
announced for No! (like 4 of 2 with the new lyrics). Meanwhile, Boss of Me
was recorded in the studio on May 3rd (well, "yesterday" on the May 4th
recording). Will Boss of Me be on No! or the new album? Oh the pain of the
wait!

They've never said anything about the new album being released aside
from No! being set for September. TDK posted a while back that Jim
Stabile, TMBG's product manager (?) had told him that Unreliable
Narrator was slated to come out in July/August but that never made any
sense to me...

Albums don't usually get released until a minimum of 3 months after
they are finished and seeing as it is almost July now and there is no
info about Unreliable Narrator I think it's safe to assume it won't be
out anytime soon...I'd love it if I were wrong but I wouldn't hold my
breath for it...

There are three main reasons why I don't think UN will be out this
summer and probably not in 2000 at all:

1. No! is coming out in September. Releasing an album a few months
before or after that would be silly. It's possible, since a
"children's album" and a "standard album" are aimed at different
groups (although they'll both be bought by all the same people...us.)
and lord knows 2 albums semi-simultaneously will make up for no true
albums over 4 years:)

2. They aren't touring at all this summer. When UN comes out you can
bet they'll be doing a full blown tour for it. It's their first album
in almost/over 4 years depending on when it comes out...

3. They've been talking about No! forever but haven't said much about
UN except that they seem to want to be signed to a major label before
they put it out. That hasn't happened yet...They wouldn't be making
such a big deal about a children's album coming out it September if
they had a TMBG album proper coming out in a month or so....

Oh well I''ve got to go to work, hi ho hi ho...

SEVERE TIRE DAMAGE doesn't count since it was mostly live material, and LONG
TALL WEEKEND was never given an official release in CD format.

LTW is still an album though, and it was material that would have been
all new if it wasn't distributed in bootleg form (well, except Token,
but most likely the majority of FS owners didn't know about it). That's
what really gets me about LTW complaints, people were complaining it
wasn't new because they had the bootleg. Anyway, why does it have to be
on CD to be an official release? MP3s are the way of the future (or at
least audio compression and digital distribution, the format may
change).

Yes, thank you. I still think STD was an album, though. I guess you could say, however, that FS
wasn't really an album because it didn't have enough songs on it, and JH was just an experiment, and
Apollo 18 wasn't that good anyway, so they haven't had an album in 10 years.

WTF, Why are people always dissin' Apollo 18?  Next to Flood and
Lincoln, that was one Their best albums.  Sure, it's a little weird but
nothing too strange.  Maybe it's because it was the first one I bought.

I'll give you Flood (I was thinking of responding with that), but
Lincoln is their best album. Maybe it's because it was the one that got
me really hooked (I had the Pink Album first, and I liked it, but
Lincoln is what really made me a fan), but it's the one I still listen
to the most.

I see, but most people are serious when they say stuff like "I loved Flood, but Apollo 18, man that shit was fucked up."  And see, when people say stuff like that, it's offends me personally, like more than calling my mom fat.  BTW, I was kidding about that.  Seriously.

TMBG is doing a tour in support of the UN? I didn't know they got involved in
politics!

Well, here's the OFFICIAL list of TMBG albums:

1. The demo tape
2. Lincoln
3. Flood
4. Miscellaneous T
5. The Guitar EP
6. The Spaghetti Incident
7. Why Does The Sun Shine?
8. Back To Skull
9. Live!! NYC
10. Dr. Spock's Back-Up Band
11. Power of Dial-A-Song
12. Insect Hospital
13. Factory Showroom
14. Then Disc 1
15. Then Disc 2
16. Then Disc 3
17. Severe Tire Damage
18. Direct From Brooklyn

So, you see, TMBG has 18 "official" albums out, and the last one was Direct
From Brooklyn, released last year.

UR and N! have not yet been released, hence officially nonexistent.
LTW was never released on CD.
STD was a live album.
FS had less than 27 songs.
JH was an experiment.
A18 had that shuffle-play thing.
F was the group's "commercialized" first Elektra venture.
L had a controversial song in it.
TMBG was the first album, and mixed poorly.
Singles and EPs don't count.
Ha! They've never put out a real CD!

192 VBR MP3s aren't bad at all though. I find it hard to distinguish

Odd, you'd think something like that would catch on. Or maybe it was just

Yeah I know, I drank Crystal Clear Pepsi to death when it was around.
But I remember this one time at a bowling alley I saw a label that said
"Crystal Clear Pepsi", bought the Pepsi, and it said "Crystal Clear
Pepsi: Citrus Flavored" on the label.

Yes, but they were marketed under both names at separate times (New Coke
