I was able to snag John Linnell's setlist(with his footprint and
everything on it:) The show was really awesome since it was the first
TMBG show I've been to that didn't have a security fence in front of
the stage, so I was about 2 feet from Linnell. Dr. Worm kicked serious
ass live, I can't wait for their new album so I can hear the finished
version. Rest Awhile is also a really great song but it is very very
short. Hopefully it'll be beefed up when/if it gets released. I was
disappointed that they didn't play Letterbox but oh well...The Guitar
sounded really weird with Hal Cragin on bass and Linnell played
keyboards for the entire song instead of the sax. Linnell only picked
up the accordion for Dr. Worm and Particle Man and only played the sax
on Lie Still, Little Bottle. The new t-shirts that are being sold for
this tour are really cool. One has a Salvation Army Logo on the left
breast that says They Might Be Giants inside it and above it is reads:
Melody, Fidelity, Startling
underneath it says Severe Tire Damage Tour '97-'98
On the back there is a picture of a 2 boys and 2 girls playing
accordions and guitars and it reads:
"Music Self-Played is Happiness Self-Made"...very cool
The other is a black shirt with a picture of an accordion and some
other stuff that has They Might Be Giants Severe Tire Damage Tour
'97-'98 written on it( I didn't buy this one so I can't describe it to
well.) It basically has a collage of a some pictures on it...
Anyway I think I've rambled on enough...Big hello's go out to
Michelle(Hotcha3) who we hung out with at the show and the guy who
talked to us before the show who goes to see TMBG everywhere they
play:)(Never caught your name but I know you're on the net:)
