Well, no one that I saw posted a setlist so I'm gonna try. It is not
even close to being in order (well, here and there it is)
Spider
Birdhouse In Your Soul
Why Does The Sun Shine?
Snail Shell
How Can I Sing Like A Girl?
Pet Name
She's Actual Size
Nyquil Driver
Particle Man
Older
Twisting
Dig My Grave
James K. Polk
Ana Ng
XTC Vs. Adam Ant
Spy
S-E-X-X-Y
Sleeping in the Flowers
Metal Detector
Til My Head Falls Off
The Guitar
Istanbul
They Got Lost

I'm pretty sure that's it but there may have been a one or two others.
Older , They Got Lost, and Why Does the Sun Shine?, were the only non
LP songs They played. Ana Ng was the only Lincoln song and nothing
from the Pink Album was played. It was my first TMBG concert and I had
a great time. Even my girlfriend who didn't really like TMBG(she
literally tried to beat the crap out of me when I tried to play my
Factory Showroom sampler tape for her). But after the show she was
saying how great They played and she was really impressed by Them. She
already stole my Apollo 18 CD because she loved The Guitar and she's
going to steal Flood too I know it(God help me I've created a
monster). Any improvements on the setlist (i.e putting it in the
correct order:) or adding something I missed )would be greatly
appreciated. Did anyone tape this show by any chance? I seriously
doubt it just because of the fact that I was there. No show I've ever
gone to has ever been taped(at least to my knowledge). It definitely
sucks...

ah, what the heck, i'll just tack on here!

to the guy in the yoda shirt and kate (i think)- i was behind you.. i
would have been content to stand there happily but due to matters
(obviously) beyond my control i was pushed... kill all moshers!! (well,
thats a little strong..) anyway, id like to extend an appology..

and i taped it... the whole thing.. u just cant hear the peopel sailing
over our head or my friend saying "liz, i think this man just bit me.."
and thats all for the best.. it came out pretty good considering.. it was
a good show, quite rockn, none of the niffty little surprises from the
instore but ah well, roselands huge what can we expect? but the song of
the night, i think, was metal detector live which had guitar subed in for
the synth... anyone want copys, email me. the set list, in correct
order, was-

ANDY RICHETER INTRO ("To Much Beef Gristle!!")
spider
birdhouse
why does the sun shine?
pet name

band intros
till my head falls off ("about MY head.. falling off!")
------------
istanbul
the guitar (mello little piano intro)
dig my grave
------------
they got lost ("so eric rolled down the window..")

whew! and after that i waited around out back and accosted flans who, tho
rushed, seemed pretty happy ("cool, not a mob but just enough to know you
still care" there were 7 of us) and he said, well he said he wasnt sure
but he said maybe every fri at the merc in feb- wooh!! but i could be

Nooooo! Eric is *not* part of this song! Eric does not deserve to be
lost in the same STATE as They Might Be Giants!

I'm curious. Is there *anyone* who actually *likes* Eric's playing?
Anyone?

I have nothing against it. He seems to be a competent musician and
he's in no way damaged any of Their music, in my opinion. I mean, to
me TMBG is John and John -- the rest are optional. So as far as band
members go, Eric is fine. He's no John, but nor are any of the other
members...

Yup...me. I liked his work with Iggy Pop, and I like his work with TMBG.
