Here's a highlight I had to rip out of the body of Tammy's excellent WFNX
(Lynn, MA Rock Radio) Flans Radio Interview Transcription to present to all
of you in case you don't have the sense to e-mail her and ask her for the
whole transcript. Here's a new song (perhaps in an early draft stage)
called First Kiss, and I for one want a .wav file of this as he sang it,
you GOT THAT, TAMMY?!?!?!

FIRST KISS

The morning
alarm rings
I'm asleep but she's talking to me
She's walking 喪ound wearing all of my clothes
but we decided long ago
we'd build a time machine and go
How 礎out another first kiss, kiss, kiss, yeah
I want another first kiss

Other women were too sentimental
always worrying about their hair
Got tired of wasting all my time
Now I'm not worrying at all
How 礎out another first kiss, kiss, kiss, yeah
I want another first kiss

The plot thins
She's waiting
I could tell you we belong together
I could tell you you belong with me
but we've run out of things to say
and we'll be happy anyway
So how 礎out another first kiss, kiss, kiss, yeah
I want another first kiss, kiss, kiss, yeah
I want another first kiss

Also, it looks like the "Imaginary Friend" Mono Puff album to come out
this Fall is not called "Imaginary Friend" but "It's Fun To Steal."
There's also a TMBG live album coming out soon called "Severe Tire Damage"
or something equally prosaic. The next (currently untitled) album is indeed
still in the demo-recording, song-constructing phase, as that Tongue
interview which I haven't got to read yet supposedly makes clear.

Just a FEW of the tasty tidbits available on the interview Tammy sent me.

Yay!!!!

I'm working on it! :) At this point I'm scrapping thoughts of
digitizing the whole interview (what was I *thinking*?) but I'll make
files of First Kiss and New York City. They're really laid back...just
Flans and his guitar...

And nowhere in the interview did Flans mention the words "Superfueled
Freaksicle." Hmmm...

Or maybe he just tells different people different things. "great indoors"
is cool, though.

Wow. A live TMBG album??? I couldn't be happier! Does anyone know when
this will be out? Even better, anyone know where I can find the interview
where Flans talks about it?

They must have changed the name again. When I interviwed Flansburgh
in April, the album was going to be called either "Your Imaginary
Friend" or "The Great Indoors".

People at the TMBG newsgroup were discussing an interview with Flans, and
your name came up as someone who could send me a copy. Could you
(possibly) by any small chance happen to have a copy that (if you have
time) you could send to me? Please?
