Does anyone know about Hudson Shad who did "O, Do Not Forsake Me" on TMBG's
new album?

Let's see, a shad is a type of fish, no?
And the Hudson is a big river, no?

So I believe that Hudson Shad is a fish they (the Johns)
pulled out of the river, and trained to sing barbershop.

In an interview, Flans said that he had been unsatisfied with a demo
version of "O, Do Not Forsake Me" recorded with him singing. around the
same time, Linnel saw Hudson Shad perform, and came back raving and
suggesting that they use them in a song someplace. So, they decided to
let Hudson Shad work their magic on ODNFM.
I don't really know anything about the group (I assume they're from NY)
but I can tell you that lead singer Wilbur Pauley's voice is as amazing
live as it is on the album. He sang ODNFM at both Chicago shows, and was
really hammy, but still cool and musically perfect.
