Hey everybody-
Wanted to invite you to check out a bunch of things: We are playing at
Columbia University this weekend- it's officially closed to the public, but
if you go to Columbia, or have friends there, you should come on down. On
Friday Sept. 7th we'll be performing on Conan O'Brien, and on the 10th we're
chatting on New York and Company on WNYC in NYC in the afternoon (everyone
can actually listen in on line at WNYC.com!) and an in-store performance and
signing at midnight on Sept. 11 at the downtown Tower in Manhattan.
Of course, "Mink Car" is in stores on the 11th, and we are hittin' the
road right after that, so if you live in the US, check the schedule below and
maybe we're coming to your town. We are going to bring back the big heads as
a backdrop and incorporate a whole new set of songs, both new and old, to
keep things fresh fresh fresh.
On EMusic, we have to remind you that the special archive material in the
August issue is for sale now but goes away forever on Sept. 1. It will be
replaced by the first installment of our new project "The Battle Of The
Bands" where we boldly take on the idea of writing songs for other projects
besides They Might Be Giants. This month's set of imaginary bands are Bog
Standard, The Crummer Family, Naykid Eyez, Colorwheel and 3 + 2 R One. Be
sure to check this stuff out! For information or just a free download of the
Classic dial-a-song "Outboard Part Of Man," go to

Our official website now has new streaming video content! Check in with
that at tmbg.com!
Random notes: Stuff magazine has a piece on Mink Car, and there is an
upcoming piece on the guitars of TMBG in Guitar Player magazine.
