Verve were once a great soaring mass of psyched-out sound. Hypnotic rock
music that recalled some of the great sounds of early Floyd and euro-rock.
They went away, put a 'The' in front of their name for legal reasons, and
have since produced some of the most insipid FM-friendly bollocks ever to
darken our doorsteps.
