this is just some jerk who was trying to elicit a nasty response from a
bunch of people just for fun. If not, then I say this. To each his
own. Whatever floats your boat. Different strokes for different
folks. Have it your way. These are all cliches that are basically
saying that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Websters defines
an opinion as "a view, judgement, or appraisal formed in the mind about
a particular matter." Opinions cannot be wrong, or can they? When
someone goes to a doctor, gets their opinion and then goes and gets
another doctors opinion, if they have differing opinions, one has to be
wrong, well not HAS to but you get my point. A view? Can you get a
clear view through a foggy window? Judgment. Can judgments be wrong?
O.J. Need I say more? And appraisals are wrong all the time. So
basically what I am saying is that, even though your opinion is that old
verve sucks while opinions arent supposed to be wrong.....well....you
are wrong. As one other person said, go back and *LISTEN* to the
music. Its not surfacy music like Urban Hymns, its heady music....it
requires thought. If you can get to this level of music your mind will
open up more, you will see things you never knew existed (talk about
cliche), but if you cant do this, well why dont you go out and buy
yourself another pair of nikes and the newest backstreet boys album and
have yourself a great life. Did I put too much thought and time into
this response? Absolutly, none of this was needed but a good rant
always clears the mind. THIS IS MUSIC! or for those of you who dont
understand that COME ON! Oh and please never say that anything by the
verve "rocks" it literally sends shivers down my spine.

The Verve is not for everyone... if you got people still listening to their music 20 years later it gotta say something about them. Their music is timeless ;)
