According to Greg Shaw's The Doors On The Road It wasn't the Doors just a
drunk Jim Morrison. It took place on 3-7-68 at Steve Paul's Scene The Scene

Red House
*Wake Up This Morning & Find Myself Dead *Bleeding Heart
*Morrison's Lament
*Tommorow Never Knows

Outside Woman Blues
Sunshine Of Your Love
PERSONNEL:
Jimi Hendrix - Guitar, Vocals
*w/Jim Morrison - Vocals, Harmonica, Mumbling
Johnny Winter - Rhythm Guitar
Randy Hobbs - Bass
Randy Z - Drums (tracks 1 - 3)
Buddy Miles - Drums (tracks 4 - 8)

A while back I downloaded "Foxey Lady," which was as Jimi Hendrix live, with Jim
Morrison on vocals. It was a hallmark Hendrix number, but the vocals were
definitely NOT Jim Morrison. I doubted that the guitar work was Hendrix, to tell
you the truth. But I'm no expert on guitar. I definitely know Morrison's vocals
when I hear them and this was definitely not our man.

Just to add an historical note....

So I picked out the dusty bootleg vinyl I bought of this show... well, maybe 20
years ago.

The track listing:
Side One: Red House

Side Two:
People, people, people
Tomorrow Never Knows
Sunshine of your Love

Of course, it was a mess, this appearance, and a jam as well. But that's
probably what those songs started out to be....

Hi
I've been lurking here for a while and while reading about this
I pulled out the two albums I have of it
the first album I have with Jimi and Jim
containe 8 songs which have been posted and the title on the album
I have is called
Jimi Hendrix
" Woke Up This Moring And Found Myself Dead "
Featuring Jim Morrison, Johnny Winters, Buddy Miles

The second album I have is called
" Hendrix High,Live 'N Dirty "
this album is a bootleg :)
even though they try to tell you on the back in the liner notes
" that here in New York that this very rare club recording was made on an
evening when Hendrix was high and loose and his group was in a particularly
raucous mood "
Now I got this album because I like Hendrix and figured what the hell
the tunes were as follows...
side a:
F.H.I.T.A.
No! No!
In The Morning
side b:
Jimi's Blues
Peoples, Peoples

now when I first Listen to it the First Track on side one it sounded familar
so I got out the Woke up this Morning album and played Morrison's lament
the two songs are the same.the rest of High live is mostly Morrison singing
just some more info on this.

The songs are from March 7 1968. While playing at Steve Paul's Scene in New
York, Hendrix was joined onstage by a very drunk Morrison for a few songs.
Morrison sang on "Woke Up This Morning 7 Found Myself Dead" "Bleeding Heart"
"Morrison's Lament" "Uranus Rock" "Tomorrow Never Knows" "Outside Woman Blues"
and "Sunshine Of Your Love". Jimi is evidently a little upset with Jimbo and
refuses to let him onstage with him again at Montreal's Sauve Arena on April 4.

I've got this song from Napster: "Ashcan School Sanity". I like it very much and
its Artist is titled as "Jimi Hendrix and The Doors". Is that a hoax?

The file you are asking about is "Doors and Jimi Hendrix - Ashcan School Sanity.mp3". It has nothing to do with The Doors or Jim Hendrix as performing artists. It's just the song "Sanity" by the music group Aschcan School on their album "Down by the Tracks". Source: http://www.beatzone.eu/album/Ashcan-School/Down-by-the-Tracks
