Hey,
What are the names of some of Alec Empire's albums/cds? All I've seen
is destroyer, and I'm interested in knowing what else he has put out.

Regards,
cyberclay

The other Alec Empire tunes/LPs I have are :
"Generation Star Wars" LP on Mille Plateaux. VERY distorted, deranged
breakbeat music!
"Limited Editions 1990-94" LP on Mille Plateaux
"Low On Ice" LP also on Mille Plateaux
These two albums are far more on the ambient side than his other
releases, but there are some mad techno tunes there too. It's not as
high energy as his Digital Hardcore releases - it's more spooky, scary
soundtrack music.
"Suicide EP" on Digital Hardcore Records. Crazy.
"The Destroyer Pt II" on Digital Hardcore Records. This is also a very
mad tune.
"The Destroyer Pt II" on Riot Beats. Different tunes on this record
than the release on DHR. This is my best Alec Empire record by far.
Fast, hard breakbeats, and PLENTY of 303s.

I also heard a tune by him on the John Peel show, with loads of guitars,
hyper drum and bass rhthyms and some naaasty samples from the "Freddy"
films. It was one of the first DHR releases, so it could be tricky to
get.

Also, there's all the Atari Teenage Riot stuff on top of that, also on
DHR, but I prefer Alec Empire's tunes which aren't so punk-orientated ;
but I'm sure there's plenty of Atari fans out there. :)

a couple of other projects that people might want to check out...

Death Funk (DHR Limited #1).. single vinyl 12" with a load of tracks on
it...also available as a cd-single.

ECP & The Slaughter Of Acid (Riot Beats)... breakcore stuff... wasn't as
into it as some of the other stuff... I liked it, but I don't think I
ever played it out...

Wipeout (Chrome)... can't remember what number it is... light-ish
jungle-y fare... just about anything on this label comes HIGHLY
recommended... especially the Panacea releases...

There's also an Alec Empire album called Les Etoiles De Filles Mortes,
which is pretty much straight ambient.

Wipeout is Chrome #3. Pretty much anything on Chrome is great except the
boring Problem Child (Panacea) stuff.

Pretty much boring Stockhausen influenced ambient. His worst project to date.

Oh yeah, I remember that <ahem> person. Ignore him. Actually, your more
detailed list proved to be quite useful to me and my friends when we were
shopping for some Empire discs. Please keep posting the more extensive
discographies.

> Alec Empire & T.N.T. Yobot EP 12" Force IncFIM 015

Let me make a few corrections to your list:

1) Remove "& T.N.T." from all the above. The guys who helped Alec in his
formative years were going by T'N'I, not T.N.T., and they (T'N'I & Alec)
only put out one 12" under both of their names:

Trip Men (FIM 005) by T'N'I & Alec Empire

However, there is a footnote on the Yobot Ep mentioning that Space Cube
(same guys as T'N'I) helped out on two of the tracks. [the two good ones,
imo]

2) Das Duell (FIM 038) is by Biochip C. & Alec Empire
(each has songwriting credit for two of the four tracks. Incidentally,
the mix of Hetzjagd Auf Nazis is the Biochip Joins The Chase Remix.)

3) Berlin Sky is by Alec, but under the name Jaguar.

And now here's a trivia question for all you Alec fans (past and present):
Under what name did Alec record the track "Unequal Chord", which was
a miserable ripoff/satire of The Prodigy's "Charly"?
