Im looking for a track listing prefferably of whats on the 3 vinyl set
of Sasha and Digweeds Expeditions, but will settle on the cd listing
(there are supposedly 9 tracks from the cd that dont appear on the LP)
Can anyone help? altavista didnt turn up much.
If not -- how about some feedback from people who own it? 40 dollars is
decent some of money for something im not sure about.
:)

Oh yeah, while I'm at it, does anyone know where the samples used in these
two songs (presumably just in song 2, but mixed into song 1 by Sasha) are
from? Or are they not samples....

"Abandoned....Deep Space"

"Any crew?"

"Negative"

Here's the track listing from the CD (which was only $20)

I think it's pretty good - it's sort of all over the map musically, - some
techno, some trance, some house..

Disc: 1
1. Tyrantanic - Breeder
2. Space Manoeuvres - Stage One

3. Morning Glory - Union Jack
4. Lost Without You - Jayn Hanna
5. Expand The Room - the Light
6. Belfunk - Sasha
7. Know You Love Me Too - Chris Raven
8. Micromega - Blue Planet Corporation
9. Free - Mono Culture

Songs 1,2,4,6,7,8 (IMHO) are all excellent. Song 3 is mostly annoying, as is
5, and 9's okay. Song 7 is insidiously catchy.

Disc: 2
1. Waters Of Jericho - Head Honcho
2. Sexual Movement - Movement Perpetual
3. Seaside Atmosphere - Stef, Pako & Frederick
4. Der Dritte Raum - Polarstern
5. Frictions Groove - Friction & Spice
6. Gamelan - Red Devil
7. Mess With Da Bull - RR Workshop
8. Love Stimulation - Humate
9. Rock Stone - Breeder
10. Anything You Want - Delta Lady
11. Silence, The - Mike Koglin

Not as many good songs as the first, but songs 1, 3,6,8,9,11 are all good,
with 1 and 11 being great, and a couple of them being truly awful (IMHO)

Not Sure

I think these two are from some classic epasode of Star Trek...I'm sure
(well...pretty sure) the voice that says "Negative is Kirk/Shatner's.

I love this song!

As long as we're giving out humble opinions, I have to chime in that mine
differs from the above in some ways. First, on the first disc (Sasha's,
apparently), track 6, "Belfunk," is one of those sleeper tracks that some of us
have to hear a bunch of times before its incredibleness kicks in. I think it's
a terrific track. Also, people in the U.S. should be aware by now that the
U.S. version cut out the Delerium track, "Silence," because of some absurd
legal dispute. So the original release, the U.K. one, actually has one more
track on the first cd than does the U.S. version.

As for the Digweed mix, it's more high-energy overall than the Sasha mix. I
think all of the songs are terrific except "Delta Lady," which I could have
done without.

Yeah, the first 10 or so times I listened to the 1st disc, I didn't like
Belfunk much. But one day I realized I was humming the melody to it, and
I've loved it ever since.

It's also really mixed brilliantly into the song after it, "Know you love me
too".

My 2 cents on this compilation is that it could have kicked much more
booty if there were less of those high energy vocal tracks. The
Light's track Expand The Room is much better as a dub mix without the
annoying almost-prodigy-style vocals. Northern Exposure 2 is still one
of the best compilations and if we're talking about newer ones I
recommend Euphoria 2 which is mixed by Red Jerry.
