I saw a few advance copies on e-bay and was curious if anyone owns it
yet? and your review...

the actual release date isn't set til mid-June this year, so i'm quite
intrigued.

it's called "The Seduction of Claude Debussy" and ztt.com even
mentioned a possible Trevor Horn box set in September.
I'd love to see a ZTT box set with all those nifty mixes on them...

YES.
Trevor Horn. Anne Dudley. Paul Morley. Lol Creme.

"Dreaming in Colour" is the first single -strangely unobtainable. Some folks
have a copy... ; )
"Born Again" is supposed to be the next one
the album "the seduction of claude debussy" is due in mid - june, but advance
promos are starting to float about.

www.ztt.com has the info. Visit the riddle of AON...if you (dan)dare.

What happened to J^3? This is suspect.

j.j. jeczalek does not get along with Trevor Horn

he was persuing this "art of silence" project on Axiomatic records, and had 1 album
and 1 bastard single on one of the Sasha/Digweed compilations ("teach me") but
that's been it as far as I know of j.j.'s doings.

TH is rumoured to be very difficult to work with, its his way or the highway. But
then again, if you hire him for his expertise, you do it his way.
Seal and TH had a falling out during "human beings" but Seal got his ego in check
and returned to complete the vocals
the 'fight' they had is actually in the album's liner notes.

look for a proposed Trevor box set in september. (per ztt.com)

bummer. for me, jjj was the sound of the art of noise. listening to
stuff he's produced, you can hear his style and influence from art of noise.
anne dudley's strength (judging from her contributions to other artists)
always seemed to be arrangement and composition while jjj's seemed to be sound
design. oh well, it will be interesting to hear the new stuff with him.

Yes, but Seal *did* leave ZTT. Trevor has a rep for ripping off his
artist. Holly Johnson had some rather unfriendly things to say about him.

I agree that JJ certainly played a big part in the AON sound.
However, I just picked up and advance promo copy of AON's new title
"The Seduction Of Claude Debussy" and was VERY excited to learn that
(classic) Art Of Noise is indeed back. After suffering through "The
Drum & Bass Collection", "The Ambient Collection" and (to some extent)
"The Fon Mixes", I was ecstatic to hear the classic sound again.

To tell the truth, I can't really even tell JJ's gone. Horn has
produced the album with his characteristic lush lanscapes, and Ann's
orchestration is superb! I think you'll be pleasently surpirsed...

BTW, the cover art, track listing, etc. is available on my site.
