*** This is all of the top of my head - so correct me please ***

Info on AoN (just stuff that i have picked up wondering round stores
in the last week ro so)

Anne Dudley released a new single of new orchestral pieces 2 weeks ago -
the first track is from her most recent album (a set of orchestral
pieces) the other tracks are new i think.

JJ has recently released a new 12" under the name Art of Silence - i've had
listen to it and it seems far more house/beaty oriented than the AoN
stuff (also sounded a little dated to my ears.

To me it sounds like they need each other, JJ lacks the beauty of the AoN and
Dudley the technology.

As for AoN releases - i heard something about there being a new set of remexes
appearing sometime. I'm pritty sure a new mix of yebo was released a #
couple of months ago.

For your other questions/comments:

Into battle was the first release by the Art of noise (but have a listen to the
first Frankie goes to Hollywood album (and especially the 12" MIXES ),
and perhaps you might get an idea how they all got together :-) )
After into battle can another 12"/ep called diversions1 & 2 - which went on to
become beatbox and close to the edit. They then released the Who's afraid album
and released 2 singles off it Moments in love and close to the edit
(close to the edit has atleast 3 different 12"s with matching (or similar)
sleaves - collect the set ;-) )
varios bits from this period wetre put together on the ztt album DAFT (would have
been the title of the second AoN album had they stayed at ztt)

I don't know about any Yes material really, but if you are looking for Horn,
Dudley, JJ as a team, i think you could try ABC's Lexcon of Love, (pritty
sure they all worked on that)

mail me if you want any more info....

I'll agree 100%. You can start to hear it really come apart in
In No Sense? Nonsense!, which JJ's noise collages and Anne's arrangements
interspersing the beatutiful things they did together.

Oh, there's always new Art of Noise remixes coming out: this has been the
case since Paranoimia '89. Everybody secretly longs for more Art of Noise,
and China keeps shoving more remixes (of AON songs, but not _by_ AON, down
our throats).

A better place to start would be Malcom McLaren's Duck Rock and ABC's
The Lexicon of Love: these two albums, if I'm not mistaken, were released
before "Into Battle".

This was the Beatbox 12". Beatbox was featured (twice) on Into Battle.

Into Battle was the first AoN release. You can find detailed information on
AoN in the ZTT discography:

ftp://ftp.swcp.com/pub/users/lazlo/discographies/
Email dis...@swcp.com (with command GET ZTT)

The web page has a search engine; specify "Art Of Noise" in the artist/title
field for a full list of AoN releases.

I know what you mean, but some of the AON remixes out there are pretty
good - like some of the tracks of the Fon Remixes. Not to mention the
entire "Ambient Collection" album, real nice stuff there. Youth
really did a great job IMHO....

The Ambient Collection is not a remix disc.
