New difficulty in accessing JV 1080 expansion card patches

I've had a JV1080 with three expansion cards for about 25 years, but I haven't used it a lot in sequencing.
Recently, though, I've noticed that some patches do not sound, although the MIDI activity light on the JV lights up when the sequence plays a note. Does anything have an idea why and, better yet, how to fix this problem?
