Sounds like a grand piano but is much more versatile; It’s digital so it
never needs tuning, it can be linked to a PC sound card via Midi connection
to enable music software to be used i.e. backing tracks, tutor aids etc.

A beautiful piece of furniture with a Rosewood Finish Cabinet, Piano stool
included, all in as new condition
This is a particularly heavy item - as the condition is perfect I would
prefer to get it to the buyer in that condition. I can pack it for delivery
by courier but am willing to deliver up to 50 miles or to meet half way at a

piano tone is testimony to Roland’s renown as the world’s leader in stereo

28-note polyphony—the maximum number of notes that can be sounded
simultaneously—even the most complex sustaining passages will be produced
exactly as you play them.
Then there’s the touch! The 88-note keyboard features Roland’s unique
hammer-action mechanism—acclaimed by the world’s top pianists as the finest
there is. This means it can accurately convey every expression and subtle
nuance of your performance.
Extra sounds plus effects
The HP-236 also includes additional instrument tones to expand its effective
musical range. You can add effects, too. Reverb lets you control “room
ambiance” and chorus lets you enhance the sonic dimension of each tone to
suit your taste or room.
Advanced tuning features
The HP-236 is meticulously tuned at the factory by some of the best piano
tuners in the world. What’s more, the tuning is engineered to work in total
harmony with the keyboard, cabinet, sound source and amplification system to
respond with subtle fluctuations—just like an acoustic piano. A stretched
tuning function lets you specify the amount of fluctuations, and a selection
of classical temperaments is available to perform Baroque ensembles.
Versatile performance and practice options
Versatile in every way, the HP-236 features a Dual mode for blending two
different instrument tones together for playing a combination-instrument
performance. Optimum combinations are preset and quick and easy to select.
The HP-236 even has metronome and recording functions (2000 note) for
improving your timing and performance skills.
Midi capability allows full interconnection with other midi instruments and
your PC. Roland provide software support for Cubase sequencing products and
a range of other software downloads..
The transpose function allows you to play in a familiar key whilst providing
output in a different key, perhaps to suit a singer.

All of this is incorporated in a durable, high quality cabinet that will
maintain its beautiful simulated rosewood finish for years and years. Its
dark brown grain will blend naturally with any décor.
