REAL Rhodes for K2x00

With Harold Rhodes' recent passing, one can all the more appreciate the
history of the timeless, unmistakable sound that was his invention.

In 1965 Harold Rhodes developed the first full size unit, the Suitcase
model, which would be followed by the Stage model. These electric pianos
were made popular by artists like the Beatles, the Doors, Sergio Mendez,
Steely Dan, Styx, Brian Auger, Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Les McCann, Jan
Hammer, Joe Zawinul, Herbie Hancock, Don Ellis, George Duke, Mike Mandel,
Chuck Magionne, and many other artists who owe their trademark sound to
these electric pianos. More recently, Fender Rhodes have been used by groups
like Portishead and many triphop and jungle artists.

You don't have to be a fanatic about keyboard sounds to appreciate the
difference between a real Fender Rhodes and a sterile digital emulation.
With our Real Rhodes collection we went for that classic analog sound. These
EPs respond like real Fender Rhodes. They're velocity switched (up to three
velocity layers) to capture the timbral change of the original. All sounds
are fully programmed for the Kurzweil, with real time control of panning,
tremelo, and phase shifter.

If you have a Fender Rhodes, but would rather not be hauling the extra 270
pounds to gigs, this disk is for you. Also, with these samples you won't
need to worry about keeping the instrument in tune and calibrated. :-)

The Real Rhodes CD also includes classic DX7 Rhodes,Wurlitzer, and Hohner
clavs -- all perfect samples of these hard-to-find instruments, all fully
programmed for the Kurzweil and ready to play.

This CD ROM is compatible with any version of K2600, K2500, and K2000. PRAM
is not required, but you need at least 16 Megs of RAM.
