BTW, in 1982 Japan were the only group to have charted EVERY week of the
year with one release or another. The albums all reached GOLD or PLATINUM in
the UK just through sheer persistence and long, steady sales. I don't have
Japanese chart data, but I saw Japanese and British gold discs for Obscure,
Quiet Life, Polaroids and Tin Drum at the Nomis/Opium office in the 80's.
Polaroids is allegedly the biggest seller of all and sold twice as many
copies as the other japan albums in Japan, probably because Sakamoto
appears.
