Has anyone been able to decipher:
1. the shouty lyrics at the beginning of So Young
2. the spoken lyrics in The Power?
Also, is there anywhere you can get the lyrics to Stay Together?
Ta very much if you can help!

The lyrics of Stay Together are:

"come to my house tonight
we can be together in the nuclear sky
and we will dance in the poison rain
and we can stay together in heaven today

let's stay together
let's stay, these days are ours
let's die together?
to hearts under the skyscrapers

there's a time bomb in the hugh rise
there's a blue suburban dream
will i see you up in paradise
or have you come to catch me?

come to my arms tonight
just you and me together under electric light
and she will dance in the poison air
and we can stay together
two hearts under the skyscrapers

there's a time bomb in the hugh rise
there's a blue suburban dream
will i see you up in paradise
or have you come to catch me?

come to my arms i'm lost
just you and me together in the year of the horse
single file in the nuclear night
and we can feel a little closer
as we tumble through the sky

let's stay together, let's stay these days are ours
let's stay togeth
two hearts under the skyscraper
let's stay, let's stay in this broken down love
let's stay together, two hearts under the skyscrapers"

Hope that helps

The lyrics are on the insert of the Stay Together EP.
The EP I got was from the US since it has the London
Suede rather than Suede

I think he means Brett's siloqouy... the " don't take me back to the past,
don't take me down to the farm"... etc.

also, the shouting bit at the start of So Young is "Seeker! Star!".

are you sure about that?
I read in a review that it was Seeker, star, but maybe it was
wrong...I'll have to take a listen to it again to see...
I was referring to the first thing Brett shouts, not the whispering bit
after...

Yeah, I think the NME said that. Oh well, no surprise it was wrong then!

why did they say that? here take a look at this suede faq site that tells
about what he says and some other interesting suede things. It is ok I never
knew what he said either until I read about it and thought hmm that sounds
about right.

Thanks for your help everyone. I've just thought of another one -
1. the whispered bit at the beginning of The Living Dead. I think it might be something like: "Sticks and stones can break my
bones but a thousand words can never hurt me"
2. Where does the spoken sample at the end of The Asphalt World come from? "...he never likes me to have more than one, but I'm
scared stiff".

And another thing: anyone noticed that the two bass notes at the beginning and end of DMS are the same?

mod200 I have plenty of videos including introducingthe band and love and
poison. I don't mind copying them for someone if they pay for the tape and
shipping.
I know they are hard to find.
