The 1965-1969 Mothers of Invention was one of the greatest collection of
musicians ever. Who could forget a line-up of Zappa, Ian Underwood, Jimmy
Carl Black, Roy Estrada, Art Tripp, Bunk Gardener, Don Preston, Motorhead
Sherwood, Billy Mundi, and, of course, Suzy Creamcheese on vocals! I just
wish more live footage of the era band existed.

If you're on one of those other newsgroups rather than affz, you may not
be aware that filmmaker Ed Seeman is selling a forty-minute DVD of MOI
footage that he shot in 1967.

don't forget part time Mother, James 'Spider' Barbour - the one who spoke at
length under the piano lid with Frank..."Pigs & ponys...etc". FWIW, I play
with Spider a LOT. He was the lead singer, rhythm guitarist & principle
songwriter with Chrysalis (MGM) back in the day. Now he's a curmudgeon (as
am I... www.cdbaby.com/curmud)

In case anyone (who loves zappa most especially) has missed it, there
is a ZFT produced episode of the show "Classic Albums" featuring
Apostrophe and Over Nite Sensation. I just got it from Netflix and
it's enough to make any Zappa fan drool, trust me.

The special features are worth the price of admission by themselves.

Check it on out now...

I pulled it out of the mailbox yesterday and watched it today. One of
the neatest thing was the revelation -slash- discovery tacked on to the
end of a reel of tape of FZ doing the "St. Alphonso is the patron saint
of the smelt fisherman of Portuguese extraction" rap.

Dweezil and Joe Travers were amused by an unedited portion of "Dinah-Moe
Humm" in a way that seems to indicate that they weren't aware that it
had been released on the remix of that track on "Have I Offended Someone?"

You are so full of shit. You looked up Frank zappa on google so that
you could do your usual "What a coincidence!" bullshit. Have you
noticed no one responds to your postings ? It's because you are full
of shit.

SorryRepublican
