. . .he pop's in here every few months to start a brawl by spewing out some
whacked-out prophesy. . .and then he suddenly vanishes when he's been proven
wrong. Then he will reappear in a few months in hopes of everyone here
being unsuspecting newbies. This isn't the most Burny-friendly place .
.judging by what I've experienced anyway. . .many feel that he tarnishes
that name of the Roses. . .and I can't entirely disagree with the majority
here. Anyone remember New Years?

Whatever people think of it, it was some of the most
entertaining stuff written about the Stone Roses.
I'd rather read that than the tired music journalist's
offering over the years. At least it was written by someone
who was at least passionate about the music.
Word of warning: it is very long - you'll need days to read it.

Before you buy.
I predicted it last time... I'm gonna go out on a limb again and say Burny
will be back... and soon...

I didn't find it interesting, in fact I got bored shitless after reading
about half of it, waste of my bleedin printer ink...the guy was/is clearly a
whole picnic short of a picnic.
He thought that by writing every stone roses /ecstacy fuelled trip episode
down on paper he'd somehow convince us all he was the messiah, Reni was the
'spirit', and Noel Gallagher was a cheeky Goblin toying with his mind.
And we weren't supposed to laugh??

nothing that long can be interesting unless its related to dirk diggler and
you own a huge bucket
That probably is a little paranoid.

For someone who found it boring, it sounds like you stuck
with it more than I ever did. IMHO, there's interesting
bits and tedious bits but it was still evidently a gripping
yarn even for you. The bonus for people who haven't read
it is that the early bits are probably better than the last
few bits.
Obviously, you're right.
Read it/don't read it. It's up to you.
Somebody asked about it. I gave my humble opinion
that I found it interesting. Er, that's it.

Hey, is this an example of that "dumbing down" process
I keep hearing about ? You know - for people with a short
span of attention ? See ya.
look i have better things to do with my time than read that trawled out
peice of shit doesnt make me anymore stupid than anyone else, i could take
the stance that you are a stupid fuckin chimp for wasting precious time
reading it when you could be ohhh i dont know.... sitting yeah just sitting
down. but i dont take that stance cos i knownothing about you
i wish it was written on a bog roll so i could wipe me arse on it, and at
least get something useful out of it

I liked the passage where he's supposed to be in Silvertones' office and
he's wearing a blue jacket and apparently Ian Brown is supposed to have said
"Beware the angel in Blue!" rather ominously to the A & R guy beforehand.
That cracked me up. I mean, people don't actually speak to each other like
that - "beware the cat in spiderman pyjamas, lest yee will hath a pox spread
on yee."
