Being the guitar bore that i am i know what kelly uses from watching him
live and seeing him on videos, from what i can gather this is what he plays

Gibson SG Standard - main guitar, he has several of these
Gibson SG 61 reissue - other main guitar, used for things like Just Looking
and not up to me
Gibson LP Classic - 2nd guitar, normally used for more heavy things like
looks like chaplin and roll up and shine
Washburn Sammy Hager (one of the sigers from van halen) model - used for
HUAW
Fender 52 reissue tele - used for pick a part and same sized feet amongst
other things
Washburn or Takamine acoustic - dont know much about acoustics, but he is
endorsed by washburn or sumthing

he has loadsa pedals more than the three listed i think

amps
he used to use Fender Deviles, not bassmans, two in cream tolex and two in
black tolex covering
at morfa he used matchless amps, these absolutley take the piss out of any
fender. they are a sign of succes as they cost a lot more than the fenders
that he used in the early days

i am could be worng but from my knowlage, ie watching him play live right at
the front three times and many videos both live and unlive this is what i
have worked out.

does anyone know why he uses lots of black insulation tape on his les pauls,
i noticed especialy on the morfa vid, anyone know why?

sorry to bore u with guitars
ollie

Most of the tape seems to be over the rythmn/treble switch. Maybe it's to
stop
him catching it and changing the sound during the songs. he might also use
it a some kind
of straplock instead of replacing the original buttons. I saw them at
Sheffield last December
he still uses the Matchless, a Chiefden and a Lightening I think, and yes
they are very expensive.
I two have a guvnor pedal but I also have a 52' reissue and a Takamine
acoustic.
Don't be sorry Ollie. Guitars are never boring.
