OK - I'll go first - Gaucho - after the wonderful Aja, followed by the great
track FM - Gaucho sounds like the life was sucked out of band - some good
songs, but the overall, the album sounds tired.

Oh, the wonderful subjectivity of it all. Sure, it's wrong, but who doesn't
love passing value judgments? Here goes - Gotta disagree wit' ya's there,
Greg. Gaucho is moving to the top of my playlist recently, precisely because
it's the hangover after the party that was "Aja". As for the worst overall,
ta- ta- da daahh! - Pretzel Logic!! (GASP!! -only a fool would say that -
there is no right or wrong - we're wasting our time with all this best,
worst stuff - Oh, if I couldn't choose...) Sure, there are some decent
songs, ie "Rikki", "Night By Night", and "Any Major Dude", but look at the
posts in the Worst Song thread - I've got supporters, dammit! Seriously,
though, the big test of an album's worth is after living with it for a few
years, do you still wanna play around ? With both my ex-girlfriend, and
Pretzel Logic, the answer is no! Neither of them go anywhere near my CD
player anymore.

I hope this was offensive to all, and also hope that overly "Frank" &
"Earnest" posts aren't to follow.

I'll have to second that. Gaucho never really grabbed me. Some very
good stuff on it, but in comparison to the others, it really doesn't
rank all that high. Lets (well, at least I) hope that the new one
won't take this route.

i love gaucho...

The one i'm not fond of is CBaT. there are a few good tracks, but overall
it's very weak, yet promising.

Oh, I love Gaucho, although it is kind of low in energy. My candidate for
worst SD album is Pretzel Logic - their record company made them tour while
they were recording it, so they used a lot of older songs, which they
recorded while they were tired and stressed out. Also, the record label was
encouraging them to produce radio-friendly songs, so the tracks are short
and lacking in the sort of exposition that their better efforts have.

As far as I am concerned I think Gaucho is a great album and I like
