Now online, an interview with Georg Wadenius. He talks frankly about
his work for Donald Fagen, the Steely Dan Tour, Alive in America and a
lot more ...

Interesting. He states that Don & Walt are distant while touring, taking
separate limos immediately from the venues, often while the band closes the
show, and they stay at different hotels from the rest of the band. The SD
web site makes it look like they're one big happy family. I wonder if the
later tours were different from the mid-90's tour that Georg was in.

Now, his differences with them over what/how to play, and his payment, I can
certainly see that happening.

Well,

That seems to be a common thread among other musicians who
have worked for them. All business, etc.

D & W probably think they're being friendly.

That's just the way they are. I think they are appreciative of
the fan support though.

This is for good reason. Get the hell out of dodge before anyone notices.
i.e. crazed fans, people wanting interviews. etc.

They probably deserve a bit better accomodations than the band
I would think. I mean, why put the band up at the waldorf?

The SD

They're not going to bad mouth anyone. (That I know of)

Yea. me too.

Did you ever see the scene in "Bring on the night" (Sting) where they're
manager is explaining how the band doesn't understand why
they aren't being paid what Sting is being paid?

He puts it very plainly,

"If Sting suddenly can't make a gig, how many people are going to
want their money back?"

EVERYBODY!!

"If a band member cancels a gig, how many people are going to
want their money back?"

NOBODY!!

BAND : "We want a part of what's on the table!!!"
Manager: "ITS NOT YOUR TABLE!!"

Too funny.

Surprised he didn't claim they stole the "e" at the end of his name...
