The line is- "They got the Steely Dan green shorts...". No

I don't think that your correct there, the original poster was, it is
"Steely Dan T-shirts.

According to http://www.lyrics.ch/query/get?s=78053 and the album the lyrics
are not "green shorts"

I have a Kid Charlamagne T shirt; bought it at their show in Charlotte in 96.
It had a boxing motif to it, and a young boxer with his dukes up on the front;
I guess Kid Charlamagne would be a good name for a boxer or something.

Not "Steely Dan T-shirt". Don't believe everything you read...
give it another listen.

I got one when they came to Chicago in '93. I laughed for the same
reason.

The T-shirts on sale at THE London appearance, (no need to detail they
have only been there once!) were well designed but printed on to British
blank T-shirts. Made from "Shrink'n'twist", (Trademark), Ultra-Lite
cotton type fabric, means I can't wear it. As when washed it will
disintegrate and I can't bear to see it die.

BTW the design was based on a Black Cow motif with the words "Drink your
big Black Cow and get outta here" emblazoned on the front. What a pity I
can't wear it, it look so cool.

Scan it and buy some iron-on stock for your color printer. You'll recoup
your investment from people on this NG. I'll take two, S (for my son) and
XXL.
