Steely Fans (just in case anybody is still reading this group),

it occurred to me it is already 9 years since the release of
"Everything must go". This makes me wonder if there will be another
oevre to be be expected in my lifetime, or Don's and Walt's lifetime.
Are there any rumors and speculations out there. Anybody ? Anything ?

Cheers

Hey Klaus, I still check this group once in a while, but it's become an empty wasteland of spam and infrequent posts. IMHO, it's pretty useless compared to the UseNet days. The countdown to 2VN was probably the highlight of my online life so far. :)

The only thing I've heard recently is that Don's new album has been mastered, but there's no release date as yet. So another SD album could be a couple of years away, if ever. I'd like to see one as well. In the meantime, there must be a box-set's worth of stellar live performances from 1993-2011, that would hold me until 2014 or so...

Cheers.

Well, there really hasn't been a flurry of activity by the boys for
people to discuss.

Am going to see the Dukes Of September (Don, Boz & Mike) this August,
though.

the group is dead; last _real_ flurry of activity was in 2006, for MORPH.

the statement fagen made in 2011 was "walter and i keep tossing around
ideas for another steely dan album, but there's nothing set yet." sounds
to me like we'll get another one -- it's just a matter of time.

I remember I saw them 4 times on their tour for that album in England. I'm amazed at my own enthusiasm. 'Bout time they came again (although 1 date would suffice this time I think!)
