Greetings,

In the latest issue of Perfect Sound Forever <http://www.perfectsoundforever.com>, you'll find (among other things):

NANCY DUPREE- Soul Poet by Cat Celebrezze
"Nancy Dupree is definitely a local hero - born in Sumter, South Carolina, she eventually found herself teaching grade schoolers in Rochester, New York in 1964. There, she encouraged learning via the lens of the Black American experience, using Odetta, Nina Simone, and Miriam Makeba as touchstones for lessons. But in the late 1960s she also managed to do the impossible for a spoken word artist."

KIM JORDAN- Interview by Alexander McLean
"A Detroit native and Howard University graduate whose family had a background in music, spanning classical to the church to R&B, is someone who would probably impress you. But what if you also found out that she spent over three decades (on and off) as the band leader for one of the most important soul artists of the '70's and beyond as well as one of the most important blues artists of the last 50 years? Kim Jordan has all of the as part of her CV, making music with Gil-Scott Heron, Taj Mahal and on her own."

We're always looking for good writers and/or ideas so let us know if you have anything to share.

See you online,
Jason
