I personally am glad those 2 homos are gone, fuck them anyway! anthrax sucks
cow balls and those guys have major attitude problems.
I don't have time to check the link right now, so forgive me if it's
mentioned, but does this mean that two other people will replace them?
That's completely fucking stupid, if so.
Wait...didn't they start SOD? And isn't this sort of thing the reason why MOD
exists?
-
Alan
and why is that? Billy is the voice of SOD.
Charlie and scott never really gave 2 shits about SOD or the fans anyway.
It doesnt even seem right for them to be there anymore anyway being the poserss
that they are. SOD is far from that bullshit rock star crap that anthrax is.
Its time for a change.
Venmlegion wrote:

No.
It all won me over. SOD cannot exist without Billy singing and doing everything
else he does for the band.
>it was a band effort
true. Im not sure who wrote which songs.
Im not sure exactly WHO started SOD, but it IS Billys band now, whether it was
in the beginning or not.
>And isn't this sort of thing the reason why MOD

No.
Billy had plans for MOD before SOD ever came to be. SOD was a side project for
Danny who was in Nuclear Assault, Scott and Charlie who were in anthrax and
Billy who was in the process of getting the band and record made for MOD.
I agree, regardless of attitude, Charlie & Ian are both
irreplaceable parts of SOD. Say whatever you want but
Charlie is a shit hot amazing fig drummer.
Charlie & Ian can't be replaced in that band, period.
Billy is the voice of SOD.
Which is 1/4 of SOD.

I don't agree w/ that.

There was NO BS rock star attitude when they played
here in Sept.. Just a kick ass show.
exactly
They invited Milano to sing.
No one's arguing that fact.

without SOD's lyric style, I'd be disappointed, but billy's vocals, I think they
coulda survived without him.
If Billy does this, the only reason is because he knows that SOD will
make him more money than MOD. Without Scott and Charlie, it will be
nothing but MOD w/ guest bassist Danny Lilker. Plus, Charlie wrote
most of the songs, didn't he? Doesn't he always? This is a shameless
case of trying to milk a legacy for all it's worth. I, for one, won't
bother.
But wasn't it the aformentioned three who came up to Billy to front *THEIR*
band, S.O.D.? That seems to be the story they go over in "Kill Yourself: The
Movie". Now how is it Billy's band now?
-
Alan
Yeah, good luck Billy. What a fucking moron.
When words aren't enough...send flowers
"Look, if she's not into Porter Wagoner, she's not worth dating."
SOD will not survive w/o Charlie & Scott.
They could always recruit Lombardo and Al Pitrelli
Definitely
!!!!SGT D!!!!
Maybe he could get Murphy and Hellhammer. They're in every other band.
-
Alan
I don't think either would do it.
Murphy's been in every metal band, twice.
I was joking (sigh) ;)

have you ever tried approaching them at an SOD show? Actually you probably
didnt because they are usually nowhere to be seen.
Get the facts before you call Billy a moron.
Not the reason he would do it IF he decides too.

Not true at all.

Youre wrong again. in fact the only reasdon they even did another record was
because Scott called Billy up crying like a little girl because anthrax sucks
was selling no records and he was going bankrupt and was about to lose his
jewish mansion.
>I, for one, won't

I will always support anything Billy and Danny do because THEY are true and
scott and charlie are posers.
I did at several Thrax shows & they were pretty cool.

Then why bother calling it SOD?

My understanding is that it was Scott's idea, and Charlie wrote the
majority of the riffs (just like he does in anthrax).

According to Billy. I'm sure Scott tells it differently. And, again,
I don't see what his being jewish has to do with it.

Have you heard MOD's "Devolution" or "Rhythm of Fear"? Both of those
records fucking SUCK. They're mosh-core to the bone. They're easily
as nu-metal as half the crap passing as metal these days and far less
interesting than Anthrax's last coupl'a discs. And I say that with a
wince because Anthrax has sucked for years.
Interesting as the several times I have seen both Anthrax and SOD over the
years they are NOWHERE to be found, whereas almost everytime Ive ever seen
Nuclear Assault, MOD or SOD (probably around 20 times combined) Danny and Billy
were hanging out with the fans in the venues before and after they played.
Becuase he owns the name I suppose. Hes always handled the business end.

Cmon man face it, Scott is a poser who was even a Vjay for VH1.
Theres lots of stories Billy has told than can be backed up like the one about
them wearing the jam shorts and the term "mosh" the list goes on and on.
>I don't see what his being jewish has to do with it.

Nothing at all.
>Have you heard MOD's "Devolution" or "Rhythm of Fear"?
I havent ever heard them in their entirety, but what I remembering hearing was
good.
Personally I thought Sufin MOD was a piece of shit. I actually snapped my vinyl
over my leg when I heard it.

NOTHING is far less interesting than everything theyve released since after

LOL, very true!

But "his" band was MOD, not SOD. He knows that no one will pay to see
MOD, nor will anyone buy a new MOD album. SOD, however, that's a
different story. It's business.
>Cmon man face it, Scott is a poser who was even a Vjay for VH1.

Exactly how does him doing a show on VH1 make him a poser? Is this
selling out? I don't understand this. He hosted a show dedicated to
playing rock videos (surely you can understand someone being
interested in music other than old school metal). BFD.

Both of those albums make Surfin MOD look like a masterpiece (alright,
maybe that's an exaggeration... Surfin MOD sucks pretty bad). They
are shit. He's attempting to do NY Hardcore, but it's a piss poor
rendition. There is one good song on each album ("supertouch" on
Devolution, "get up and dance" on Rhythm), and remarkably, the two
songs sound almost identical. And I garauntee you that those two
albums combined didn't sell half as many copies as Bigger Than The
Devil. Billy knows this, thus, he'll call his band SOD instead of
MOD. I mean, shit, USA For MOD was good, and Gross Misconduct had
some good stuff, but other than that, MOD wasn't a very good band.
And the point remains that Billy isn't exactly the kind of guy that
makes me want to believe everything that comes out of his mouth. He's
a loudmouth, and he has seems to have some anger management issues.
They were prolly intimidated by your overwhelming
presence!
Milano's definitely in need of some lithium.
They could pick up Dimebag and Darryl since Phil ain't going back to Pantera.
God, why keep trying to do NY Hardcore. That shit is so played out and stale.
God forbid he try something new. That tough guy shit is fucking lame. Just
start a metal band already. I guess they just can't grow their hair.
I base this upon every interview I have ever read between Scott and Billy.
Scott is pretty smart, laid back and rational. Billy talks like some fucking
gorilla jackoff who wants to fight and talk shit all the live long day. Drama
keeps his life occupied while having fun seems to be Scotts #1 priority.
And some weight loss pills. Or a stomach stapling.

Billy can rot in hell too. He's the one who has recently been
collaborating with Vanilla Ice. From the March issue of Metal Maniacs:
"Everyone knows that they're full of shit. I'm so tired of their
armchair quarterback politics so I rippen 'em a new asshole. "Wigger"
is about all these new fuckers like Eminem and Kid Rock. I just can't
take it anymore and believe it or not, Vanilla Ice wants to sing on it
with me because I just sang on his new record"
"I met him in Texas. I wrote a song specifically about being
anti-rockrap and it is called "Back not Black"

Are you for real? I for one was pissed the tour got canceled before the 3 shows
in my area came.

He sold out when state of euphoria was written.

Yes of course I can, but seeing a once cool metal guy playing trendy
alternative rock videos on vh1 is sad.

I saw their first tour and it was fucking awesome. They were one of the best
crossover bands IMO

He's got no reason to lie.

If you knew him you wouldnt say that. Hes actually a very cool down to earth
guy.
PLEASE tell me you dont seriuosly think hair has anything to do with metal?

He does come off as a loud mouth ass.

Which do you honestly think would be more successful? MOD or SOD?
Again I point to the last few MOD records v. Bigger than the Devil.
SOD is widely regarded as a metal legend. MOD is widely regarded as a
funny band that wrote a retardedly ignorant song called AIDS.
>>Exactly how does him doing a show on VH1 make him a poser? Is this

Look out kids! That classic metal elitism is back! Just because YOU
didn't like SOE, that's selling out? C'mon Ven, you're 32, no 15.

Well, maybe to you. Personally, I see nothing wrong with taking a job
that a) is totally easy, b) makes you plenty of money, and c) gives
exposure to your band at a time when they desperately need it. Plus,
he gets to talk about Rock music. I, for one, would love to get paid
to talk rock.
>I saw their first tour and it was fucking awesome. They were one of the best

I don't doubit it. But as a whole, they weren't that good. One good
album out of what, 5? That's a pretty poor track record.
>
>Then why not go to the sources he says were there as witnesses?
>He's got no reason to lie.
Of course he does! PUBLICITY! And who are these "sources" you keep
claiming?
>If you knew him you wouldnt say that. Hes actually a very cool down to earth
>guy.
Fine, then he's a guy who, despite the fact that he's a very cool down
to earth guy, has issues with portraying himself as a racist ignorant
asshole.
Sad overweight dude?
yeah, nothing. neither does leather or ripped jeans. all the best metal bands
looked like Soft Cell....
SOD was still entirely an underground band until they released that Live at
Budakon cd and video several years ago. At that point every new school anthrax
/ metal fan discovered SOD for the first time. Personally I wish they had just
let SOD die back in 85 so theyd still be obscure.
>SOD is widely regarded as a metal legend.
Only by those who dont know what hardcore music was all about back in the early
80's perhaps.
I never considered SOD a metal band, nor did they. Speak English or Die was a
hardcore record with some metal guitar riffs.
hence the term "crossover".
>Look out kids! That classic metal elitism is back! Just because YOU
>didn't like SOE, that's selling out?
I dont recall anyone liking that record when it came out. I remember everyone
saying it sucked. Yes, by everyone I am refering to people I knew from around
the scene here.
But I harldy doubt that other old school metal fans from around the world were
blowing loads when they heard it either.
>C'mon Ven, you're 32, no 15.
Yes, but I was 18 when SOE came out and at that time it was up against records
like "Eternal Nightmare" "Leave Scars" "Terrible Certainty" "South of Heaven"
and "Survive"
Sorry, it just didnt hold up at all. It was weak, boring and lame.
>>Yes of course I can, but seeing a once cool metal guy playing trendy

>Well, maybe to you. Personally, I see nothing wrong with taking a job

and all of those things are the true meaning behind a sellout. Think about it.
>Plus,
>he gets to talk about Rock music. I, for one, would love to get paid
>to talk rock.
Well, I for one would much rather see you or some other stranger on there than
he or anyone else I once had respect for.
Besides, who the fuck wants to talk about todays "rock music" anyway?
Especialy if youre supposedly in a "metal" band. Of course its been a long time
since Scott was IN a "metal" band.
>>I saw their first tour and it was fucking awesome. They were one of the best

No, it isnt.
>>Then why not go to the sources he says were there as witnesses?
And who are these "sources" you keep
>claiming?
Have you even read any of the interviews hes done since this whole thing
started?
Anything hes laid claim to, hes thrown names around who were there as
witnesses. One example is a guy from the Crumbsuckers who was there at someones
barbecue back when Billy told Scott he should start wearing the jams shorts.
There are plenty more of these incidents that Scott has tried to pass off as
having been HIS ideas.
Does anyone actually give a rats ass? NOPE! But its just the prinicpal of the
matter that Scott is a lying poser.
>>He's got no reason to lie.
>Of course he does! PUBLICITY!
Billy doesnt really give 2 fucks about publicity. He hasnt sought out any
publicity its all been people coming to him asking him whats happened and hes
just finally let it all out.
Hes pretty content working on his new band as well as his managing several
others. I dont think he cares about even doing SOD anymore, who knows.
>Fine, then he's a guy who, despite the fact that he's a very cool down

Thats like saying Andrew Dice Clay is really a guy who has absolutely no
respect for women because of the character he "portays" himself as when he
"performs"
>yeah, nothing. neither does leather or ripped jeans. all the best metal bands

I only meant that someone doesnt have to have long hair to be into metal.
perhaps we misunderstood each other?
I reckon. But hair does have a bit to with it. If Hatebreed came out with long
hair they would be "metal with heavy hardcore influences".
Because they all look pretty much like NYC hardcore, they're "hardcore with
metal influences"
Either way, they suck regardless of hair.
>I reckon. But hair does have a bit to with it.
Well it does, but it doesnt have to.
> If Hatebreed came out with long

Yeah NEW school NY hardcore, which sucks ass.

hahahah yep, pretty much!
Billy's screen name is buzzard.....

Who cares, Scott Ian is a poser anyway.
Billy Milano appears on the new Vanilla Ice record....
word to your mother......
As does Josh Brainard, ex-Slipknot guitarist...
[sic]
hahahaha
hmm In using ven's logic, that would make Billy quite
the poser! Interesting, 'eh?
