I'm sorry, but I've come to the conclusion that Divine Intervention kicks Reign
In Blood's ass. I mean, I love Angel Of Death, Epidemic, Piece By Piece and
most of all Raining Blood... but Killing Fields, Fictional Reality,
Dittohead... man.... Circle Of Beliefs, SS-3, 213...

If you could somehow take "Point" and put it on Divine Intervention, you would
have the most evil metal album ever!

UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH no. Reign In Blood is a masterpiece. Divine Intervention
slacks hard in comparison. Kinda like saying Somewhere In Time is better than
Number Of The Beast.

I know Reign In Blood is a masterpiece. I know I'm wrong, but if lovin' DI is
wrong, I don't wanna be right.

I love both albums but IMO RiB is heads & shoulders
above DI. Don't get me wrong, I play DI often but RiB
just rules all that is thrash, period.

It *is* a close call. Both albums are such a way of life it's hard to
separate them. However, RIB just takes it for me for sheer evil, and the
fact that it's faster overall.

Yeah, I think "Diabolus" has a really deep, crankable quality to it, DI falls
apart a little sooner on the volume knob. I just don't agree about the 'speed'
thing though. RIB has some rocket-speed songs on it for sure, but, like, Divine
Intervention doesn't? Again, I love Reign, I love all the Slayer albums
*starting* with RIB. The earlier ones are cool, but I don't understand why the
sound quality is so reverby and poor when other metal bands recording at the
time like Black Sabbath were getting a great heavy metal sound. So I mostly
ignore those albums, except for an occasional spin of "Live Undead" or maybe
"At Dawn They Sleep"... where was I....

Oh yeah! ...DI SLAYS RIB!!!!!!!

Wow...I think you lost all credibility you might have had right
there!!! There are several songs on The X Factor that COMPLETELY SUCK
ASS. Including!:::

Lord Of The Flies
Man On The Edge
Judgement Of Heaven
2 A.M.

IMO, the best songs are:
Sign Of The Cross (obviously)
Fortunes Of War
Blood On The Worlds Hands
The Edge Of Darkness
The Unbeliever

Most of the other stuff seems like bad filler...Too long!

Raddion, that ranks as one of the worst posts of all time.
RIB is the best metal album of all time (IMHO), and DI is not even in the
top 200.

So does Reload (in some people's opinions), doesn't make it a good album
though

The problem with Iron Maiden is that Steve Harris never used a plectrum.

Maiden has 2 or maybe 3 great albums and several OK ones. Slayer has 4
incredible albums (HA, RIB, SOH, DI). Even the worst Slayer album -- either
SITA or GHUA -- still has at least 4 cool songs.

Face it, Maiden were great for 4 years and then went downhill.

Noo, RIB is Top 10, DI Top 50

That's part of the fun! HA is Slayer's 3rd best album after RIB and DI

And of those, only NOTB compares to DI (attempting to bring the thread back
on track)
