Ok here are my picks:
Public Service. Yeah they and Ruder have done a lot for Philly, whatever,
their songs still bother me and they are more annoying live. Just writing
this post has "Nut House" stuck in my head.
Regatta 69. I felt like I was at a carnival. I dont like carnivals. I like
carnival funnel cake though.
Seven Minds. They used to be AWOL. I have never seen a band get booed at
more.
Other bands that really irk me:

recall ever hearing any of regatta 69's stuff, but i know now that i should
think hard over the matter of buying their cd's ...

Good call! It seems to me that Regatta 69 and Ruder Than You are
Moon's official straight-to-the-cutout-bin bands.
Other than that, there aren't a whole lot of truly awful things I can
think of. Of course, you should steer clear of 1960s American ska, as
it's pretty much all novelty crap. (Actually, I look for this sort of
stuff, but just as a conversation piece.) The SKAndalous All-Stars are
competent musicians, but what they're trying to do (more novelty stuff--
in this case, turning alternapop into ska jingles) is just ridiculous; I'd
steer clear of their records as well.
Oh, and watch out for a band called the Mad Lighters. They somehow
convinced Rico Rodrigues to record with them (and loudly proclaim it on
the cover), but they're watered down European reggae. Definitely not a
satisfying listening experience.
These posts are -extremely- educational. After all, what if everyone
bought "Prime Time with Regatta 69" and they got signed to a major?

order for it to be worth reading? I'm here for the entertainment

opinion of a band than a ska newsgroup is? i trust several people's opinions on
this newsgroup (mike and billy's to begin with...) and so hearing a comment
from them (and about another two dozen people) does in fact provide me with
some of the "outside information" i utilize in considering an album

computer programming. Boy, did the title "Worst ska bands" ever lead me
astray. What do you expect on a newsgroup, RDRS306? People just post stuff
here that they are curious about. No one here is writing their doctoral
thesis about the worst ska bands. It isn't supposed to be educating.

I assume this post was directed to me. You know, i have every right NOT to
like a band. If you are connected with Mento Burru then say it in a
intelligent manner not like a 12 year old with 3/4 a brain. And others have
responded to these posts stating exact reasons why they liked a particular band
that was claimed "the worst." Furthermore, I never said you were the worst. I
said "they irk me" That mean "annoy" or "something i would rather not listen
to" I'm not the only person I know who doesnt like that band. Mento Burru is
probably the only trad band i am not fond of.
Maybe i would start a band but i work two jobs (soon to be 3 for the summer)
and go to college. I apologize to you deeply that i do not have the time, but
believe me I have plenty of musical skill. I never said Mento Burru doesnt.
They have plenty of skill, they are just boring to me. Like Kenny G has lots
of skill but rights boring songs to my ears.

I've finally found some one who doesn't like MU330! I was begining I
was the only one that was tormented by their music. I feel validated
now. Now all I gotta do is find someone who thinks skankin pickle
sucks too, and I won't feel like a freak. I do kinda dig the gadjits
though, although I usually listen to them when I don't feel like
listening to ska, I don't know what it was but their newest album
sounded weird, but I liked it. Although they seem like a bunch of
cocky fuckin kids.

Yeah, I hear that alot. I just never could get into mu330 that much,
they had that song La tha wasn't bad, but I did really like this song
they had on the asianman "mailorder is fun" comp. I only heard their
first 2 albums, maybe I'll like their newer stuff.
By the by, what did you think of the new suicide machines album?

I like Destruction By Definition better but im listening to the new
Suicide Machines now and i think it's really good, just takes a little
getting used to.

the green album was the first skankin picle cd that i got, too. and i still
think it sucks. but i picked up "sing along with..." at a used cd store, and i
have yet to regret my decision. this cd is so much better than the green
album...
