Watch 'White Squall'. They played the song 'Teenage ska'. It's during
the scene when they go dancing with those Dutch girls.

In the Movie um King Pin there are a couple of ska songs...and of course we
all know about but don't like to talk about the Bosstones in Clueless

Natural Born Killers...what bands play on those movies...and what is

Fishbone covered"Jamaica Ska" in Back to the BEach 2. But they sing it
with Annette Funicello so I don't really know if that counts.

Tell me about that movie. I have the soundtrack (which rules), but I
don't know where to get the movie or even what it's about.

Its about the Profumo Affair (swinging '60's Minister of Defense, John
Profumo, sleeps with Christine Keeler who unfortunately is also sleeping
with a Soviet Attache. Pandemonium ensues, government is brought down)
There are some great scenes in Jamaican Blue Clubs with a lot of classic
ska in the background, and a very interesting scene with Roland Gift of the
Fine Young Cannibals. And Bridegette Fonda's breasts too.

Actually, "Party At Ground Zero" has been in "Camp Nowhere", "Dunston Checks

The 60's Annette Funicello movie "Back to the Beach" contains the
following dialogue:
Annette: Do you girls know how to Jamaica Ska?
Girl 1: Jamaica what??
Girl 2: Like sure, man, its a required course at our college!
Annette: Well do YOU know how to Jamaica ska??
It then is followed by a surf song with everyone twisting, I think,
although I haven't actually seen it. That dialogue is the intro to the
Invaders' song "Ska Fever" on their new disc

You know its really rather pathetic that there are people in this world who
do nothing but watch MVT all day to see who has "sold out". Exactly why is
ithat Meph sold out? I'm really curious, since theyre playing exactly the
same music, on their self-published label that theyve been doing, and
theyre hanging out in the sme shitty bars, drinking the same shitty beer
they always have. Then again, I'm guessing that youve been into ska for
about 6 weeks, so you wouldn't know that.

This has nothing to do with the movies but it does have to do with MTV
putting ska music in the background of stuff. They had a spec on the
horde tour and one of the segments was showing a bunch of skaters and as
i flipped by they were playing some toasters music in the back ground (i
think it was the toasters), anways for that whole segment when they
showed one of the two skaters they were interviewing they played ska
music as background for him.

i don't disagree with the fact that MTV is in it just for the money, but the
implication that MTV is the only channel that is just an advertiser's ploy.
that's all televison is about, period. the only reason they want to watch their
shows is so that you'll see the commercials and buy the shit they are pushing.

i still don't know what it sounds like. i did a word search on Ska at
the library (they have comuters) and that's one of the things that came
up.
it listed Pinnochio Ska as a track.

Why the fuck are you watching that shit? People are always bitching about mtv
this mtv that. So and so sucks. Why? Because they have a video on mtv. How
do you know I was wtching it the other night and....

Well if a band sucks because they have a video on mtv, then you suck for
