Does anyone else think Lynette Knackstedt of Skankin Pickle sounds a
lot like Gwen Stefani from No Doubt? Atleast on Sing Along with
Skankin Pickle I think she sounds a lot like Gwen.

I don't think so, but I've always thought that Gwen Stefani and the
singer from Mealticket have similar voices.

I don't think so either. I love Lynette's voice, and Gwen's just annoys
the hell out of me. Maybe it's just because I like S.P., and can't stand
No Doubt. I don't know.

I just saw S.P. live in Dayton, Ohio. They were cool, no if, and, or
butts abbout that. It was interestiong not to hear Mike (the first one)
sing, but Lynette will have to do.

PS-Last time I checked my musical defintions No Doubt was und the ska
title. This book was printed in 1996, and I will to sell it to anyone
for a $200.00. (this book doesn't exist)

I heard Mike left, but who is now singing lead vocals on the songs he
used to sing? I'm sure this topic was covered on this newsgroup at some
point, but I haven't checked in a while, sorry.

Actually, to my knowledge he is not singing, but just playing sax.

Perhaps Mr. Liu could clear us up on this issue....

Lynette's really cool. I met her through a friend. I even have her
address, and.....no I'm not gonna tell it over the internet.

Lynette said that he was a really nice guy, but when it came down to it,
he was just impossible to work with, he became a jerk sometimes. All of SP
felt really bad about it.

I just saw Skankin Pickle on Aug 17 at the Wetlands and Mike Liu didn't
sing at all. He just played sax and did some excellent dances with and
without the pickle. Overall I was impressed with his performance, but
was dissapointed that I didn't get to hear the songs Mike Park sings
on. Skankin Pickle sure did rip it up though. Hulk Hogan was insane.
Big ups to Edna's Goldfish and Perfect Thyroid too. Their sets
prompted some great skankin. I missed most of the Rudiments, so I
couldn't give a good evaluation of their music. It was a really great
show.

I saw them in Providence on the 20th, and the show was great, but I missed
hearing the songs Mike Parks sang. By the end of the show, most of the
people were screaming for I'm in Love w/ a girl named Spike, and we were
all dissapointed. They closed w/ Hulk Hogan, and it was amazing, and so
was Thick Ass Stout.

Brent, the original Rudiments bass player, was away (visiting relatives I
think) for the tour so Lynette filled in for the Rudiments. I think she
did a pretty great job on the whole tour.

Actually, that's not true. I think if I were to sing for Skankin' Pickle,
the band would lose every fan they could possibly have. Actually, Lynette
and Lars have devided up the singing chores and Gerry and Jay sing lead on
a couple tunes as well.
