In the early sessions it was Roy and Charlie?
Remember "my boy lollipop, he makes my heart go giddy-up".... Check it
out, one of the first ska songs to be known outside of Jamaica
featured a harmonica solo.....
But what of today?
Who is harpin' these days in ska/reggae music that you know of?

Paul Miskulin, LGB, shreds on the harp, but you have to wait for the
encore. "beeyatch".

So Richie,
What kinda harps do you use?
Where can I listen to your music online before I buy?
One of the groovyest harp solo's I've heard comes from the harp player
that used to be with Eastern Standard Time. The song "Housewives
Choice".

What comments can you make about fitting harp into ska, is it just a
trial and error thing?

Lets Go Bowling has a lot of harmonica work, at least in their live album.
Check it out.

Hohner Blues Harp or Hohner Marine Band Classic

I use the harmonica to add some flavour to the off beat played by other
instruments. a solo can be heard on "let's find each other tonight" on the
Doreen Shaffer album "Adorable" for instance. try KaZaa... ;-)

The band "100 Men" from England used the harmonica a lot. maybe you can get
hold of that. they really use it as an instrument in the horn section (like
did WAR in the seventies for example).

hope that was of help.

No one should have cared about the asinine question which started this
ridiculous thread, and readers should care even less about your shitty local
band. Go to hell.

hi
i saw your message about dancing mood at the ska newsgroup , where i go once in
a while -it's not that good, as many theads are stale-
i'd like to hear that disc, i have a lot of things to trade (i'm french),
anyway we could trade a copy ? i have ska, rocksteady, reggae from 4corners of
the world and diffrent eras. if interested, please get in tocuh, i'd have tried
to get it from the band, but as the situation seems to be really hard in
argentina these days, it's not evident they'd get in touch...thanks

Bill,
Sounds great, good use of high end bends and two hole shake. How can I
contact the harp player?

on the son "Knocking On My Door" on the album "Dandimite" by Dr. Ring-Ding &
