Goldfinger is the worst band of all time

Goldfinger fits the definition of "poser" and "fiting" in. They
suck live and they used to be a metal band untill they found out
that "ska" was the next big thing. Mike, Detroit
p.s. I did not go the their show I went to Warped where cool bands
like face to face, NOFX, and Rocket played. Tell me what you think
of goldfinger

my friend interviewed them and they told him that although they have a
somewhat "ska-ish" sound, that they are do not want to be classified
as either ska or punk, but rather as pop.
nofx is cool, but goldfinger is not? they sound remarkably alike.
i'm not saying that goldfinger is ska, because they're not... but that
doesn't mean that they suck...
btw, it is my opinion that you are one weak fuck if you would say
something as lame as "all hail mtv".

Although I think that your ideology is not far off, I'm gonna have to
agree with Mike. They do suck, not because they aren't ska or punk, but
because they sound really really bad, and they play to crowds of jocks,
sucking up to them. Goldfinger is one of the worst bands that I have ever
heard. Their live show that I saw appalled me in that it SUCKED extremely
bad. I would never purchase their music, or anything that would help them
in any way again.

I sold my Goldfinger CD a couple of weeks ago, I got REALLY sick of

everone is allowed their own opinion about what they like. sure you've
seen them twice, thats once more than i've seen them,but that won't
change the fact that i think there are better bands out there. i'd just
like to know what do you think makes gold finger one of the best live
bands? are they really crowd oriented?? do they stay after the show and
talk to the people who saw them?? or is it that since they are gold
finger then they are automatically "cool" and "one of the best live
bands"..i would just like to know..when i saw them they did none of the
following...the didnt talk to anyone, they fucked over Less Than Jake
(that being gold finger was the headlining band and made LTJ go on
after them) and they really didnt have much to say to the kids who paid
their hard earned bucks to see them.
now, if you really want to see a good live band i suggest you go to
the neXt Jonny Socko show...another band that puts on a fine show would
be Mephiskapheles...you dont have to go.im not holding a gun up to your
head,and im not telling you that you "suck". those are merely
suggestions which you can take into consideration.

restricted to a single day.. however, I never expected to see them again
after the thorough flaming he got over the summer/last year/whenever it

I saw them with Bad Religion. To clear up discrepancies, Goldfinger is
not _ska_, but it's SKA-CORE. There's a big difference. Goldfinger is
like the Voodoo Glow Skulls, except VGS is much better. SHDSTAR, you've
seen them twice, they have one CD out and you call them the best live

As everyone knows Goldfinger used to be some cheesy heavymetal band(or

Goldfinger was born. I've talked to them twice and It was the biggest
joke. Rock stars, rock stars very fucking annoying. There is no reason
for a band to sell $15 t-shirts is they are what they claim to be "punk".
There is no reason for the singer to be the dickhead he is. No crowd
contact except his tats and the occassional band babble in between songs.
At one show with LTJ, one could cclearly see the differeence in
attitudes...Goldfinger sold their $15 shirst while LTJ sold a CD,shirt and
sticker for the same amount. They're in it for the money. Plus, out of
12 songs 4 were covers...WHY 'cause they're a ONE hit Capitalistic
WONDER...not "punks" not "rudeboys" not anything but fakes.
Whoever thinks that Goldfinger is the shit live probably hasn't been to
any other show or probably doesn't even know other "punk-ska" bands. Go
and see Less than Jake, MU330, Slapstick(RIP), Skif Dank, Skankin' Pickle
e.t.c. and buy their $7 CD or shirt and you'll see the difference in
ideology.
