alot of the early emo/emocore bands of the 80s like dagnasty, rites of
spring (guy from fugazi), and embrace (which was ian with his bro's
band, Faith)....hell, most people consider fugazi (more early stuff
than the newer, experemental stuff) to be emo...and to aaron...the day
after i saw them, i was sooooo pumped, my band practiced for like 5
straight hours trying to do something .00000000001 as good as the
almighty fugazi....they were amazing...

The whole scene is a very hetero thing (unless it's something to do with the
new punk type influence). The scene had no place for gays or racists
either, and there is still no room for it today.
