This question has come up before, but does anybody know who the sax
player is in the movie "Romancing the Stone?" He plays variations of
the same latin-influenced song throughout the movie, mainly on soprano
sax, and takes a nice solo at the end on tenor (although I play it on
alto). The credits indicate that the music was written by Eddy Grant,
who was a reggae singer, but not a sax player. A movie soundtrack was
never released.

SaxKat, the closing theme was played by Ernie Watts. I had questioned it is the
past and someone had the CD soundtrack. Love his tenor tone. But I am not sure
if he also played the soprano.

The song played at the end of the movie is "Morning Dance" by Spyro Gyra - it's off their 1984 album Access All Areas. :)

Hey just found Gary Herbig played that killer main theme sax solo. Love it.

Hey
Just found out that a full soundtrack got released in 2017 on CD. I found it on Ebay. It is AWESOME!!!
I have been waiting for this for decades and now its the only thing playing in my house.
Gary Herbig is listed in the liner notes only as "woodwinds" along with a dozen more people.
