Hi all

Can anyone point me in the direction where I can download a music score for
Summertime by Kenny G and George Benson. I am quite a beginner, but some of
this seems like it would be quite easy to play.

Any other well-known sax music resources would be welcome too.

Please email me (removing no spam)

Regards

Paul

This would be an excellent opportunity to start on your ear training. This
is about as simple as they get, so get your horn out and try playing along.
It's a lot of fun and good for your ears! Try browsing my site at

Summertime is from the musical _Porgy and Bess_ by George Gershwin.
It's one of the most recorded songs ever. Do yourself a favor and
listen to some other versions!

It's an easy tune in the sense that there are no fast runs in the
melody, and it doesn't hop around in a bunch of keys. As Mr. Igram
suggests, you should learn it without using sheet music. Pick it out by
ear in all twelve keys.

Thanks for your replies. I will look at your site in a few minutes, but I
really wanted the sheet music, because, as well as trying to get to grips
with my sax, I'm also trying to master reading music.
