Does anyone know anything about
a Czech alt.sax called Louis Robert?
I've found one for $200,
should I buy it?

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

For what purpose do you want a sax??
It is a low quality horn.
As brand new it is playable....
As second hand, use it for decorative purpose only
Learning on an inferior instrument makes the work very much harder.
You can get playable instruments for a reasnoable price.

Instrument is probably made by the Amati plant which is located near the
Czech republic---company I believe is in what was East Germany. I did find a
good playing tenor sax which sells for about $400 and altos about $300USA.
Its an off brand made in I believe China but finally I would say China
finally is making them right. $300USA may be in your price range for an
intune new good playing instrument. If interested give me a write and I can
tell you where to find it. HOWEVER I would not buy it unless you get in
writing a return period if the instrument is not all you want it to be.Also
you should have someone who knows saxophones well play it and give their
feelings on the instrument on whether to keep it or return it.
