Hi to all,

This is tough one : has anyone heard of the brand PIERRET? I am bidding on
an Alto sax of this brand. It's french for sure and was made before WWII.
Model #08 ?? does this ring your bell? Probably a little artisan who has
fallen into obscurity.

Let's see what the experts have to say

I played Pierret baritone in high school way back when.....it was probably an
ok instrument for the time...not near the horn my Low A Mark VI is, though!

I just bought one from a customer from Argentina. Great sound. Keywork like
an SML. Mine's stamped "Super Artiste". I would love more information if
anyone has any. BTW, mine has a high C to high D trill key!!

No no no
Pierret was a small factory that built horns (especially alto sax) for harmony
bands like Musique de la Garde Républicaine.
That were middle range saxes not to expensive
I owned an alto that sounded fine.
