I think Sarah's back-up vocalist Camille Henderson is an incredible
singer.
She could easily be a solo act or front a band of her own.
Does anyone know if she is planning on putting out her own album?
Also I heard that she actually did a bit a few solo songs on a few dates
of the Lilith Fair on the smaller stage. Did anyone see this?

I read that she was once a member of a band called the West End Girls,
but I've never heard their music before.

By the way, check out Camille's tour dairy from this summers Lilith
Fair. She's great with crayons and pretty funny too. Heh!!

A couple of years ago, when Adam was on the group (where are ye? Come
baaaaaaaaack!), there was a rumor floating around that Miss Henderson
was recording a solo disc, which he quashed. Haven't heard anything
since. However, I agree completely that she SHOULD.

You know it's funny. When I first saw Sarah & co. perform in nearby Baltimore,
I remember seeing Sarah and thinking 'Golly wow. She's way-keen.' And then
after a while I looked at the woman singing backup. She was wearing this
gorgeous full-length black gown, clinging to every curve. And I thought, 'Wow.
She's totally cool.' Wow.

Get Camille to draw some crayon pictures for it. I loved the ones she
did on the Lilith Fair webpage.

No kiddin'! I don't know why, exactly, but Nettwerk seems to have signed
the
four hottest women on the planet, all of whom have fantastic voices:

1) Sarah McLachlan (Everyone's fav)
2) Tara MacLean (As talented as Sarah, but slightly cuter, IMHO)
3) Camille Henderson (Gosh-wow cute with an awesome voice -- just
listen
to "Duende" on Delerium's new CD "Karma")
4) Kristy Thirsk (of Rose Chronicles, at least, till they broke up
recently.
Anyone know what she's up to besides working w/ Delerium?)

Am I the only one on this newsgroup who doesn't care for Camile Henderson as Sarah's Backup singer?  I like her -separately and independantly- of Sarah's band.  I though she was fantastic in West End Girls (I remember them, quite good), and Delerium's Duende (which she wrote herself, she does the primary AND background vocals in this song - excellente!).  BUT, I think she makes a terrible backup singer for Sarah.  She overpowers Sarah's voice all the time, and she can only hit those high notes that seem off-key compared to Sarah.  I don't think thier voices are well matched at all.  I much preffered Sarah's prior backup singer, Kimberly Linekin - They were much more in-sync with each other!  It was like Sarah had a Sarah McLachlan clone standing right behind her (vocally).
Though I must say that yes, Camile Henderson is very nice to look at!  I hope she does go solo!  That way we'll have another female artist to like, and (best of all IMHO) Sarah will get a new / better backup singer!!

Any thoughts?
Later!

Sarah joined Camille for her final song and they sounded great.) She mentioned
at one point that she doesn't have an album out yet, because she hasn't found
anyone to sign with. Hello? Nettwerk? What the hell's up with you guys? I
think Camille is at least as talented as Tara McLean. Let's see a deal, boys

Jeez... I must not be very observant. You'd think I'd have noticed
beauty of such note by now. Can someone direct me to a decent photo of
Camille, just so I can join the drool-fest?

I respectfully disagree. I've always thought that Camille had a great blend
with Sarah, and that her voice complements Sarah's incredibly well.

I only had the opportunity to see Sarah once while Kimberly Linekin was her
backup singer, so compared to the number of times I've seen Sarah with
Camille maybe Kimberly's not getting a fair shake. It might just have been
the awe-inspiring experience of seeing Sarah for the first time. But I
don't really remember being moved one way or the other by Kimberly Linekin,
while from the first time I saw Camille with Sarah I was impressed by how
their voices worked very well together.

I'll have to go back and listen to the Live EP and compare it to Pressed Up
Against the Glass or something. I may have an update later, but for now, I
have to say I disagee with you, mike s.

I completely agree - I'd even prefer Sarah to use a backing track of her
vocals than have her continue to use Camille - their voices just don't
work together at all.

WOW!!  Someone that agrees with me!  It's comforting knowing I'm not the only one who think Sarah could find a better backup singer!

I think Camille does wonderful work with Sarah. Anyone who doubts this
should put on a good set of headphones and listen to the "Path of
Thorns" version on the live "Fumbling" video. It's amazing!
