Who set this fund up anyway? Anthem? The Peart family? Who? And who gets the
funds? Canadian College students? Just a few questions...

It was set up by the family and the money goes to artists who are
struggling financially. It is known as the Selena Taylor Foundation.
Anthem is also accepting sympathy cards at that address.

Nothing personal against "The Professor", but the money is "going to
artists who are struggling financially?" My bullshit meter just pegged. I
find it hard to believe that the family would set something like that, so
soon after the accident, and for such a cause. Aren't all artists
struggling financially? :)
>The Professor
Was Selena a struggling artist? I'm just wondering why this was chosen.

She was off to university to be a lawyer, I'm told. I assume it was her
parents' decision to devote the foundation to that cause.

There's no such thing in Canada.
Alex
Too bad there isn't no such thing as Alex Goddard in Canada.

The same goes for most American universities I've been associated with (I'm
a former university admissions counselor). You can say you're "pre-law"
all you want, but there's no official "pre-law" status (again, at most
universities- I can't speak for all). Typically, "pre-law" students major
in political science, history, government, or liberal studies.

Sounds like a student who failed one of Goddard's courses.

When your name is Neil Peart, you don't buy drums. Manufacturers ask you to
please come in and get all the free drums you want.
'Kay--change cherried-out drumkit to cherried-out BMW motorcycle.
