And for you kids who grew up in Chicago...Ray Rayner, kids' show host on WGN
for more than 30 years, passed at 81 of Pneumonia in Fort Meyers, FL. (not too
far from the Naples Ritz Carlton Hotel)
Ray was great - I got a kick out of the half Sox / half Cubs hat he wore
when reporting the previous day's scores.
And Cuddly Dudley kicked ass! :)
I liked the way he made the arts and crafts projects crappily. Made me feel
better about my ineptness at arts and crafts!
Chelveston the Duck kicked ass!
And Ray Rayner was a POW at the same camp the movie "The Great Escape" was
based on. But despite having helped dig the tunnels, he was transferred prior
to the aforementioned escape.
He was a cool, righteous dude!

Right - and his producer Chauncey always made the project perfectly!
Chris
Is Mr. Greenjeans still around? Nope, not according to IMDB.
:(
Barfolomew "I'm half man, and half dog. I'm my own best friend"
Where is Meow-Meow Kitty when we need her, a voice of comfort, in a
time of great sadness?
Which reminds me of one of the funniest episodes of "Family Guy", the one where
Stewie wreaks havoc on "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" and a flaming Meow Meow
Kitty is seen running across the scene and yelling "Meow meow...skin
graft...meow meow". Macabre? To be sure. Hilarious? Yes, in a sick and twisted
way!
I hope Frazier Thomas and Bob Bell were there to meet Ray on the other side.
Garfield Goose, Cuddly Dudley, and Bozo...
Channel 9 is one of my favorite childhood memories.
